But you failed to do so to freakin Louisville. Atleast we lost to a respectable opponent.

UF is the only team to suck worse than us this bowl season...

How did you like Louisville?
My Alabama experience

Days leading into the game Notre Dame fans took over South Beach and out numbered Alabama fans 3:1. I was beginning to think our presence was greater. When I arrived at Sunlife Stadium it was a different story. The Bama fans showed up and they were intense, passionate, and loud. The women were hot and the their tailgating was awesome. We all felt the SEC swag. Inside the stadium, Alabama fans were yelling Roll Tide non stop and their loud band played hip hop chart after hip hop chart while their players warmed up. I've never seen anything like it.

Why are the trailer park bengals even in this thread? Shouldn't you be worrying about Clemson?

They've been game planning for a month while Bama's been playing with their @sses
Notre Dame's and Bama's BCS practice schedules

Notre Dame will benefit the most from the way the staff organized the practices. They used most of the allotted practices early on and it allows the team to peak at just the right moment. They had the week off and won't practice again until the 2nd. Bama hasn't even installed their game plan yet, they worked on fundamentals before the Xmas break.

Alabama's weak offense is going to get exposed. This is the best D Alabama will see.

Definitely the latter. I'd say it's likely the OP is either an Arky or Auburn fan, actually. BTW, the people citing "PITT" as if it means anything apparently didn't pay attention to A&M's struggles with La Tech or LSU's with Auburn if they think that game means anything.
No.
That's what I'm saying, you can't single out 1 game.
Comparing schedules

The lower half of the SEC is a very weak group of teams so playing in a conference--even the mighty SEC has its drawbacks when you can beat any of these teams and use your 2nd and 3rd string after half time.
Mix in some cupcake directionals like W. KY, Florida Atlantic and W. Carolina (where did you find them?) or Towson and LA Lafayette etc. and you have all of the makings of "scheduling for a BCS birth" type recipe for a high ranking in the polls.
Tide only played three tough teams--TAMU, LSU, Georgia--and we know they lost to one and had to come from behind to win the other two.
ND schedule starting out this season featured several teams that had double digit wins the previous year (Stanford-USC-Michigan-MSU etc) and had 9-10 previous season bowl teams on it
That was a whole lot tougher slate than what 'Bama had lined up with one FCS and three directionals that had no chance against the Tide.

Compliments to working the system. Scheduling and over signing.

This SEC aurora is a myth. And is completely out of control.
Advantages over Alabama

We've been criticized this year by some talking head fools for winning ugly and winning narrowly. Ironically, I think our close wins (Purdue, UM, BYU, Stanford, Pitt) will prove one of our biggest strengths against 'Bama. They had only two close games they won: LSU and GA. In fact, they didn't win them as much as the other team lost. In that regard they were like our Pitt game (and we only had one Pitt game; they had two).
Winning as we have in overtime and with goal line stands has built a confidence and a brotherhood on this ND team that few teams ever develop. I don't think 'Bama has developed this quality this year: winning has been relatively easy for them. This important intangible doesn't get built in the process of demolishing the likes of the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, Florida Atlantic Owls or Western Carolina Catamounts (who were beaten more like catamites 49-0 by the mighty 'Bama).
In short, I think we have more "character" than the Tide does. We will be the best defensive team they've played all year. We also have a much, much better offense now than we did during the first half of the year. Everett has developed and improved more than any of us could have imagined. I think he is a much better QB than their guy and he will prove one of the measures of our strength in this game.
I'm usually more cynical than optimistic, but not about this team and not about this game. We're going to be the 2012 CFB National Champions. It's '73 all over again!
It'll be close, but that's to our advantage.
GO IRISH! BEAT 'BAMA!

Wow, do I hate the SEC. I hope Oklahoma destroys A&M almost as much as I want the Irish to crush Bama.

Weak azz team? This is going to send Manti and his boys in a rage. See you in Miami

Now people will claim that Bama's loss was not that bad because they were unable to stop the Heisman "winner"...who lost two games, that were exclusively his fault for losing them, too.
Total SEC bias, all the way to the roots of CFB now.
