re: Rank the SEC QBs after Week 5

Great debate thread on the second best qb. I take Murray due to who he's beaten
At least tell the story behind it... Sumlin landed on the high school baseball field next to the football field where Ricky Seals Jones was squaring off against Kohl Stewart in a big time TX high school game on television in prime time.

We aren't cool because we have a maroon helicopter.

I think it's pretty creepy that everytime this kid does something other than eat/shite/sleep the aggies start a thread about it. Congratulations on finally having a good quarterback that lead you to the cotton bowl, I feel bad for your fanbase when he graduates/slumps. I guess it will be back to texags for most of you then

I agree.

texags is terrible for football discussion but i do go there to follow recruiting.

Give us time SEC...we have been Texas' beetch and irrelevant for the last 15 years so celebrating success "like you have been there before" isn't an option for us yet.
Well I'm still not sure exactly but a pick 6 and muffed punt inside our 5 didn't help. So that puts it at 43 points, but still... :banghead:

And let's not kid ourselves, LSU would destroy La Tech.
Guys, they are both 6 ft. as well. OP might be on to something..
Why, why, why start this thread? :banghead:

Go back to texags :doublebird:

:snoozer:

I got halfway through pg. 4 and skipped to the end. This thread is a joke from both sides. What did I miss?

Truth is that it's not a given win. No game ever is and it would be ridiculous for any sane person to think otherwise. We're just fortunate that most people are not sane thus making places like secrant thrive. Where else can you get this type of entertainment for free?

No, I don't think it's a given but for the first time in 14 years I see a confident coach, confident team and confident QB.

I like our chances.
LSU is a better team than us but I can't make the argument simply because they beat us on our own turf but so did Florida and no way UF can beat us now. Having just one loss is what's keeping them above LSU and A&M.

I have it: LSU, A&M, Florida

Also, outside of LSU we held Alabama to their lowest point total of the year.

La Tech is ranked 20. Not exactly a terrible team.

We are talking about the same defense that LA Tech put 57 on??

I addressed our secondary issues in an earlier post so how about you look at what we have done since then. Several of their td's were flat out terrible tackling on short pass routes. We also had a pick 6 and muffed punt inside our own 5 yard line.

Watch the game and dont just go off the final score.

I'm talking about the present and yes I know we have been god awful for 15 years.

JFF is a popular player, but a aTm is a dorky school that is not popular anywhere outside their area. Male gay chear leaders yeah that's popular. Now the Aggies this year with JFF and a fan base happy with their first good season of the millenium would travel well.

Dorky school and gay male cheer leaders was funny a month ago and yet the entire nation can't stop talking about us. I think most are starting to realize thats not who we really are. The respect from the SEC fan base has been beyond my expectations and we have certainly earned it.

stupid is as stupid does

Fortunately for y'all, JFF never played in the Big 12 but if he had played, they would probably be undefeated right about now.

I agree and hear a lot of people saying we would have two losses because of our secondary, which is very suspect but mainly on deep balls. We had terrible tackling from the secondary in the beginning of the season but made some changes and have improved. We would put up 50+ on anybody in the Big12 and our defense is much better than any of them.

That is irrelevant. The Fiesta can pick whoever they want as an at large.

not if LSU ends up Top 4.

Also, LSU is a more attractive pick considering we are ahead of them in the BCS, other rankings, computers and beat them at their place.

Maybe but in my bias opinion, A&M is the "hot team" right now in the media, has the most hyped qb in the nation.

In my "real world opinion" it's all about generating revenue and LSU is most likely the better team but A&M is definitely more popular.

I agree Texas has talent but I can't decide if that talent is overrated or if Mack Brown simply can't develop it. He has a top 5 recruiting class every year but has lost 13 games the last three years

I'd say a bit of both. Overrated players are consistent for all teams but truthfully outside of the blue chips, out of 28 scholarships a year, how many actually work out?

Mack was seriously devastated after the championship loss to bama. He has been deflated and defeated since then and that explains the last three years of player development. IMO he had plans to retire if he won the BCS title with Colt and turn the team over to Muschamp. Go out on top.

If Colt stays in that game, who knows the outcome? I bet Mack looks in the mirror and reminds himself every day that the fish QB almost pulled it off, if only Colt...

@WooPig I believe we can sign 33/34 with JUCO's and mid-term fish counting back to last year's class
