Tunsil Held Out of Today's Game

Posted by athensdawg33 on 9/5/15 at 1:21 pm
Due to allegations of improper benefits.

I am so in shock by such slanderous allegations.......

Of course the other 3 hours a day you spend on this site is time well spent?

I'm on here 1 or 2 days a week, 10-15 minutes at a time. Thanks for your $0.02 though.
Most wasted 42 seconds of my life.

Not to get this thread way off topic, but I'd love to know how I took that out of context. Regardless, if I did, the same premise applies. All you guys bashing Gurley for breaking the rule because he knew it was a rule that carried consequences that could hurt others...none of y'all ever go 5 or 10 over the speed limit?

So only certain rules are supposed to be followed?

Once again, you can't have it one way and not another.

It's not that certain rules shouldn't be followed. It's that for the same reason you or I drive faster than the speed limit, Gurley chose to make money by simply writing his name. Both have consequences. That doesn't stop you from driving over the speed limit. It didn't stop Gurley from writing his name.

My momma once quoted a wise man who said "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone". I think the same applies to you here, sir.

His actions don't show good character, IMO.

If it was any other rule, I could follow you and agree with you. But if you're Gurley, and someone offers you $x to just simply write your name, and you're not breaking any laws, and you know hundreds of other guys have easily gotten away with doing the same thing in the past, why should he or how was he supposed to say no?

He always struck me as having better character than many of the punks in college football these days.

How does him breaking an archaic rule, that isn't even a crime, make him have less character or a college football punk?

No it doesn't. But what does is that he KNEW of the consequences yet CONTINUED to do so regardless of the consequences against him or the team. There is a difference.

So did every other player in the history of college football that has taken money, cars, trips, etc. The only difference in this case is that Gurley took money from a broke Florida fan who's business had just failed and was trying to prevent a decrease in value of the last big investment he had left.

I'm curious if you were saying all of this same stuff about AJ back in '10...

frick stats! Can you honestly tell me the overall team didn't look better in the last 2 games than they did when Gurley played?

And you honestly think that was due to the best player in the country not playing?

the stats would prove otherwise.

Your team does not get better by losing the best player in the country.

How dumb can you possibly be if you're saying we should sue him, bench him, or not care if he just decides to walk away?

Suing him will ensure us the #1 recruiting class every year for the next decade.

Bench him? Not care if he quits? We're talking about the same guy here, right? The best RB (player?) in the country? One of the best 5 players this program has ever seen? The one that has admitted fault, apologized, will come back for Auburn, run for 200 yards, and lead this team to it's first MNC in 3.5 decades?

Oh yeah, that guy...

And don't be further delusional and say we can win it without him, cause you will then be asked to check in to a mental hospital.
Might be selective viewing, but looks like Narduzzi possibly could have visited Athens today. Flight from West Michigan Regional Airport (1.5 hours from East Lansing) landed at Ben Epps at 1:00 today. However, have been told there is a closer airport he could have flown from...

Austin Long Off the Team

Posted by athensdawg33 on 6/20/13 at 2:12 pm
FWIW, reports should be coming out soon that Austin Long has been kicked off the team for an academic issue (plagiarism). He's supposed to be suspended from school as well, but they're trying to keep him in, and thus waiting to release the news.

Post less.
Denzel Nkemdiche is just trolling us, right? He doesn't really think they can win a MNC while he's still there, does he?
Did anyone else just see Luginbill on Sportscenter?

He said, "The team with the most to gain going into signing day has to be Georgia. They're in the finalists for guys like Laremy Tunsil, offensive guard Tyrone Crowder, Montravious Adams on the defensive side of the ball, and running back Alvin Kamara."

Then followed that up by saying the biggest decision still looming out there is that of Laremy Tunsil. And this is the head of national recruiting for ESPN?

kick the bitch to the curb... i can't freaking read this shite anymore until NSD.
