Has anyone had any reviews or experience with the Polaris ranger crew 570? Looking for a crew just concerned if the 570 is big enough or should I just spend the extra money for the 1000?
re: Fresh sausage in BR

Man a million dollar question. I just moved over to Baton Rouge from Lafayette and it’s damn near impossible to find good fresh sausage. It’s a shame the difference in the meat departments just from Lafayette to Baton Rouge. And for the reference for Bergerons. Man they smoke everything not everything has to be smoked. Miss some good best stop, dons, kartchners, bills, superone, champagnes.

Commute back and forth daily from Laffy to BR. The old men have been that the pilings on the north side fairly often lately.
re: Getting a new truck

Was in the similar situation this past May. Had 2020 fully loaded lariat f-150. Was the 2 tone color 5.0 V8. Awesome truck gave me no problems. Was fully paid off. Wanted something new don’t know why. Went with a 24 tundra 1794. It’s a plastic box on wheels. All junk. I made a huge mistake and kicking myself for it’s

This past May. Bought a brand new Toyota tundra 1794 edition for 75k. It is the biggest hunk of shite.

re: Spinal Fusion surgery C2-T3 experience
Posted by CajunTiger11 on 11/16/24 at 8:20 pm
A C2-T3 is done from the back of the neck and not the front. They aren’t taking the disc out and fusing the bodies together like they do from the from. They going In from the back decompressing and decorticating a bunch of bone to relieve pressure off the spinal cord. Because they are having to take so much bone out they are putting screws and rods to stabilize them in place until they heal/fuse back. Timeline on these vary significantly more than from the front. How patients do vary from patient to patient but most patients have a good bit of pain for sometime after these posterior cervicals.

Remember there’s more surgeons doing fusions than artificial disc. And these surgeons know more than the common person you.
Those artificial disc fail more than they work. Almost 80% of artificial discs are back in surgery for a fusion years later. Just an FYI

Man had to relocate from Lafayette to BR and found some property north of Port Allen on the west side. Quiet out here. Love it over here. Not Lafayette but don’t hate it.

More so worried about the traffic to get the kids to school in the morning.
Port Allen to Baton Rouge

Anyone live in the Port Allen area and commute into BR across the bridge everyday? Is it really that bad or all made up have to cross it everyday?
re: Any of you baws hunt Thistlethwaite WMA?
Posted by CajunTiger11 on 7/30/23 at 10:06 am
TW is loaded with hogs. And it’s flat out scary walking in early morning with just a little light and a bow and walk up on a group of them. They are loud as all get out and you can’t see because the palmettos are taller than you. There’s no way to be quiet walking to your stand. I just take off full go ahead

Been hunting TW during the week for the past 4 years and I’ve enjoyed the hell out of it. 20min from my house and have my spots set up. There’s no more guarantee in hunting in this state than going into TW and shooting a hog. Makes it fun. Don’t kill a deer every hunt but do have success. But will say it

I know the commute will suck. Wanted to know if Baton Rouge really is as big of a dump as everyone says it is
