re: Hypothetical: Who Goes to the BCS Title Game If THIS Happens?

Oregon still has to go through USC-- twice probably, and all bets are off when they play in state rival Oregon State. I think Oregon is good and most likely to remain undefeated but a lot of games left.
Notre Dame has to go to Oklahoma and has a tough matchup to end the season against USC, they don't have a good enough offense to win out in my opinion.
K State looks really good and Collin Klein has played like a beast. They definitely go.
I would be willing to bet the most likely outcome would be a K State and 1 loss SEC team- though no telling who, it all depends on the voters and the computers and that is all black magic.
It's an interesting thought though and will be exciting to see play out over the course of the final month and a half

re: Would You Want Your School to Hire Rex Ryan?

Rex Ryan has had a tough year, but I don't think he'll be fired. The Jets are 'underperforming' but they are only 3-4, not that bad--yet. That said I wouldn't want Rex Ryan near my school. He's a great coach, don't get me wrong, but his style seems to work with the NFL and I'm not sure it would be as effective at the college level. If he gets fired this season he'll have plenty of opportunities elsewhere in the NFL
re: If Alabama were to play UF this Saturday who wins?

Florida's defense is probably just as good as Alabama's, but hasn't been quite as consistent (early season struggles). However, when it's mattered against the tougher opponents they have been lights out. It's an interesting thought that if they played today they might be able to win. Florida's offense still struggles a little bit too much for my liking, but I think given a few more weeks (by seasons end) they'll prove a reasonable matchup with 'Bama. Bama fans wont admit that the Gator Defense is just as good as theirs, but it's pretty darn close.
re: Does MSmoo have the talent to challenge 'Bama?

Don't just look at the recruiting, if it was that simple nobody would ever beat 'bama. Look at their season statistics and styles of play. There's enough there to make it inetersting.

I apologize if it comes off as self promoting, not my intent. I don't care if you look at things I post or not. I'm not an MSU fan, I don't have a hatred for Alabama, I'm just throwing out some things I found interesting.
But I do think everybody (except MSU fans) have written this game off and I don't think they should. It's easy to overlook Mississippi State because they haven't had a great time since....? But you can't discount what they have done this far in the season.
All I'm saying is that if Bama is going to lose it happens in the next few weeks and if I'm picking a game for it to happen I think this one is as good as any.
Any SEC fan knows that in the SEC anybody can beat anybody on any given day. It's what makes the SEC so great.
This is the first real challenge that Bama will face.
Those who said it will be a field position game and it will come down to turnovers are absolutely right, but with Miss State's disciplined ball control QB play so far it has to help their chances to stay in the game and potentially pull of an upset.

I know it isn't likely, but if you look at the stats between the two teams they appear evenly matched. Their yardage per game and points scored and allowed are within just a few of each other too. If you look closer, Bama's opponents are a combined 24-25 so far this season, and their next three opponents are 19-3. I think Mississippi State could give them some trouble.
I do a sports blog picking college and NFL games, and various other things, I've got some more interesting statistics for that game and a few others if you are interested.
