re: Hoghead cheese...Do you eat it?...Make it?

Sometimes I throw it in a pan and sautee it with some chopped onions until it "melts down" and then I put it on a corn tortilla. Talk about good.

Hopper's at Cortana Mall
As far as Godfathers goes, there was one in Oak Plaza in Prairieville... not sure if it's still there though.

One of my best friends manages the Chili's in Laplace, and he maintains a very high standard. That's the only one I'll eat at.

According to all the biographies I've seen/read about him, he served in Vietnam and retired from the army in 1993.
re: Beer recommendations?

And where can I buy these beers that have been suggested? WalMart? The Cove?
I really haven't found any beers that I genuinely like a lot. If pressed, I'll drink Purple Haze or Killian's Red. Rolling Rock (or similar) will literally make me gag. I don't care much for the Coors-Miller-Budweiser go-to's that most people enjoy.

Beer recommendations?
Posted by The Wicker Man on 12/13/12 at 7:37 pm
I admit that I've never been a big beer-drinker; I just never cared much for it. Still, I'd like to try some beers that are supposed to be the "best" to perhaps see what I'm missing out on. If you could recommend one (and ONLY one) beer for me to try, what would it be?
re: Going to Gino's tomorrow night ... recommendations?

As others have stated, Laurence Bread - Arancine - Caprese Salad - Mama's Salad w/ crabmeat. My wife likes their "White Swan" drink...
re: Canebrake
Posted by The Wicker Man on 12/13/12 at 7:05 pm
They have it on draft at Rotolo's in Prairieville. They actually had a really nice selected of bottled beer and drafts: Canebrake, Purple Haze, Stella Artois, Covington Strawberry, Andygator, Parade Ground Coffee Porter, among others.
