The spill is actually past the water intake just north of Lockport. To make matters worse, the spill contractor is running thru the spill making waves and washing it onto the banks. They even sped thru the buoys at the water intake. I may be dumb but what good is a buoy if they force waves over the top? I called the parish (got an answering service), ES&H (gentleman said he would radio it in for them to slow down), same gentleman again at ES&H (this time said "Sir, we are in the middle of a major cleanup) and then I called the Coast Guard emergency response number (left a recording, called placed about 3 hours ago, have not heard back). The bayou is filled with this cut grass that projects out into the bayou and it is trapping the oil against the bank (which is the forced onto the banks due to the wave action). I have videos but no clue how to upload them here. Will try tomorrow.
