Explain the difference please. both pay the athlete for participating in the sport. how does one disqualify you while the other is ok.
Does that apply to athletes that sign the revenue sharing agreements with the universities as well?

Not sure its a requirement or not but hey why not. They are suing us.
Apparently there are a few types of NFL contracts out there. Perhaps the NCAA and the SEC need to clarify which type of contract is the point of no return. Personally if you dont make the final roster , you were never on the team.

As to this article, no contract signed goes into effect until the player makes the final roster or the practice team.
they are paid a per diem of around $250 a day
they may or may not get a signing bonus they can keep if they dont make the roster.

all sports should have a way to try your hand out on the next level without violating amateur status and the ability to finish out your allotted eligibility.
Think of it like any other profession. If an employer wants you to have additional qualifications, you can go back for additional training and the schools will accept you back.
The NCAA is grasping for relevance and this is their only straw.

Amateur status should no longer apply. Its hypocrisy. Just base their eligibility to play based on time. 5 for 5 seems fair. not based on whether they signed a contract with a pro team.
They sign a compensation contract with the universities to share revenue and with sponsors who compensate them for NIL.

Kids getting drafted after High School get to choose whether they like their draft position and then can choose to play in college instead. Why is this different than all other sports?
i totally agree with you on this so if daniels wants to use anything LSU related he can negotiate with LSU the use of our branding

Name: Daniels can no longer use the LSU Name in any of his history records, videos, photos, speeches, write ups.
Image: Cant use any photo or video wearing an LSU uniform or on LSU property, or sanctioned games or practices LSU was a part of.
Likeness: in no way can any video or photo be altered that even resembles LSU or its colors in any promotional product or event daniels wants to pursue.
All Videos of any interviews of acceptance speeches must bleep out any use of LSU or it representatives (coaches / players) .
