Agreed. Great game, hogs. Y'all will do some damage this year in the west. I'm not looking forward to playing you in the next several years. Good luck the rest of this season.
Apparently a gig is a pronged spear for hunting small game, such as frogs. The Ags were set to play the TCU Horned Frogs, and someone said "gig 'em," and it stuck for everyone.
Tech is not a good team. They've played poorly against bad competition. I expect Arkansas to win by 17.

For the same reason she remains a collie: tradition. Never over think why Aggies do things. If something was done in the past, we will generally continue with it as a tradition.

Auburn runs big yards
Johnny passes and runs more

Richmond Webb should also be in consideration for A&M.
Albert Connell was another great one (WR). He could have done great things in the NFL had he not been a thief.
Patrick Bates. LB sized safety who hit like a truck.

This is probably for a spin-off thread, but the transfer with the biggest expectations - and subsequent letdown - was Brandon Stewart from Tennessee. If you recall, this is the guy that was neck and neck with Manning. It is not that he was a bad player, but the expectations were unreal.
A&M System members educate more than 120,000 students and reach another 22 million people through service each year.

Florida wins another All-Sports Trophy MAY 21, 2013 2:00 PM By Chris Low Florida is the class of SEC athletics ... again. For the 23rd time, the Gators have walked away with
the SEC All-Sports Trophy as presented by the Halifax
Media Group. Florida won eight SEC championships this past year.
Georgia was second, and Texas A&M was third in its
first year in the league. Florida won SEC titles in men's basketball, women's
cross country, gymnastics, soccer, softball, men's
swimming and diving, women's tennis and volleyball. In the men's competition, Florida was also first followed
by Alabama in second and Georgia in third. It was the 13th time that Florida had swept all three
titles. The Gators are the only school ever to sweep. Here's a look at the overall standings: 1. Florida .7230
2. Georgia .6372
3. Texas A&M .6284
4. Tennessee .5491
5. Arkansas .5448
6. LSU .5225 7. Alabama .5023
8. South Carolina .4794
9. Kentucky .4730
10. Vanderbilt .4354
11. Missouri .4234

Aaron Wallace should be on the list, as well.
A&M has none. Five players have been picked #2.

Luke Joeckel - 2013
Von Miller - 2011
Quintin Coryatt - 1992
John David Crow - 1958
John Kimbrough - 1941

You're forgetting Antoine Wright, Bernard King, Bryan Davis, and Donald Sloan.

I was just making an attempt at a first team. After Law, Sloan is my favorite player. Another good one is Joseph Jones. David Edwards was another favorite.
I watch quite a bit of basketball. Your fans, however, boo much more than the average fans. No need to take it personally.
Why do Georgia fans boo so much? It's odd and irritating.
Definitely the Missouri transfer. What a POS.

Obviously A&M's basketball history is a little...lacking compared with some teams.

Acie Law
Sonny Parker
Jimmie Gilbert
Vernon Smith
DeAndre Jordan (not that he was our best while here - but is one of the more notable)
Things obviously did not work out for them this season, but we did have Arkansas on our schedule for non-conference. At the time of scheduling the contract, Arkansas was a top 15 team. Joining the SEC made us scramble to find acceptable opponents. Hell, half the SEC couldn't believe we had La Tech scheduled this year.
