re: Dye vs Chizik legacy

It is sad to see Auburn, who has a been a model of consistency in the SEC, fall to the depths that they have. They have too much talent on their team to be this bad. But it is always said that it does not matter how much talent you have, it is all about coaching. Auburn has produced top 10 recruiting classes in each of the past 2-3 years, and they are a 1 win football team right now. What happened to all the talent? I know it is there, so it must be a coaching problem. And, in my opinion, that is where the problem is. I, however, don't think it is as much Chizik, as it is his assistants.

That "vaunted" VanGorder defense makes Ted Roof's defense look dominating. And we had a feeling that when Malzhan left to be the HC at ArkyState, Auburn was going to have issues, and they are. But like I said, there is too much talent on the plains for Auburn to be this bad. The coaching is deplorable, and a change may be the best thing Auburn needs right now.

That's a ridiculous line. Bama wouldn't have covered that spread against Ole Miss.

Did you not watch the Bama/Ole Miss game last season? Let me remind you that if last year's Rebels would have played in Bryant Denny this year. we would have lost by 40 or more. Vegas oddsmakers may seem out of touch, but they really aren't.

Well, even Vegas agrees with the majority of people that believe that Mississippi State has played absolutely no one up to this point. Now, if State was 7-0, but had beaten an Oklahoma State or a West Virginia or even a Northwestern, then maybe the spread would be closer. But when your AD and HC schedule cupcakes, you tend to be irrelevant when Vegas makes the odds against the No. 1 team in the country.

I will give State credit for being 7-0, and they are playing good, solid football up to this point, but you are playing the most dominant team in the country right now, and you are the road team. You may cover, but it is highly unlikely you will win. Good luck on Saturday.

So is this the way you justify beating a team that has gone 4-15 in the conference since Dooley took over at Tennessee?

Arkansas is gaining confidence and are starting to look like the Arkansas of last year, aTm is surprisingly better than State is IMO, and yes, even Ole Miss can find a way to beat Tennessee.

Really? Not even close to the bottom 3 of the conference. Have you even watched them play before they played you last night?
Lets recap.... MooU has not beaten anyone relevant through 6 games, and yet they act like they have won the SEC Championship already. The reason why they are 3-0 in conference play is because they have played the worst 3 teams in the conference right now. Plus anyone can be undefeated with the cupcake schedule they have through 6 games.

They better not overlook MTSU... that is all I am saying.
And aTm has not faced a defense like they will see on Saturday all season thus far. Now, LSU's offense showed a lot of improvement last night against USCe. LSU has the speed on defense to keep up with aTm's receivers, and I don't think that Manziel will be as prolific against the LSU defense as he has been against the teams that he has played so far.

LSU wins 28-17
Who didn't beat teams that were coached by Ed Orgeron? Worst teams in history of the program, if you consider that to be marquee wins for your program, then your sights are set as high as they ever will be.
