Platinum Plus. I was there the night a bouncer got shot in the gut with a shotgun. My buddy and I had just walked in, thought about setting close to door then decided to set back toward the couches. Right as we sat down shotgun blast's blew out the glass on either side of the door right where we almost sat. We hauled arse out through the strippers dressing room and got the f out. The bouncer had broken up a fight between a stripper and her boyfriend. Boyfriend came back and shot bouncer. Last time I went. Figured it was a sign.

My wife and I make them at home quiet often. Use an extra finger of Sailor Jerry's rum for a nice kick. Tacky Jacks 2 out in Ft. Morgan had a pretty damn good one last time we were there. FloraBama, damn good.

"Chip it out". First time I saw i thought I was going to piss myself I laughed so hard and it was before YouTube so there was no going and watching it again. To this day I laugh my arse off every time I see.

In the cab of a John Deere 4430 while plowing up a cotton field. Girlfriend at the time brought me out some lunch and ended up riding me for a while. What I didn't realize was that my mother also brought me out some lunch, saw what was going on and sent my father out to deal with it. His way of dealing with it was ragging my arse for weeks on end. But it was totally worth it, she was hot and horny red head.
re: OT parents - do you prefer public or private schooling?

WTF does that mean? Clean? Well mannered? Good posture?
What this means is there are private schools here in Memphis where the classes are 95% white. Not all of them but most.
quote:
Man, I read your post a couple of times and there is a resentment in there...I'm not sure where it comes from, but you have it. You throw the doctor thing around and talk of your wife's job and your wife's friends...Do you work? Why the complex? Then you throw diversity crap out there and race issues.
WTF are you talking about? I was in no way throwing my wife's job around. The fact is there are well educated people in the world, doctors, lawyers blah blah, that choose to send their kids to public schools that are just as good as private schools. What difference does it make if I work? If it's that important to you I am a stay at home dad. Where do you get I have a complex about private schools? The majority of my family has sent or is sending their kids to private schools so I know EXACTLY what the curriculum is at their school. So no it's not obvious to me that private schools are better in my situation. Having three kids in the Optional Program the school they are in is considered to be one of the best in Memphis. It's none of your goddamn business which school it is. But if you truly care they are in the White Station school district. The graduation class at White Station High had close to $35 million in scholarships/grants. So if you can prove to me that MUS, CBHS, ST. Marys, St. Agnus, Hutchison or any other private school here in Memphis had that much money awarded, then fantastic for them. Do you normally get this butt hurt over other peoples opinion?

Depends on the city. We send our kids to a very good public school here in Memphis. My wife is a physician and we could send our kids to a private school but our 3 are getting just as good an education in their school as they would a private school. My wife has at 7 doctor friends that have taken their kids out of private and placed them in the same school as our kids. We have family members that send 3 girls to one of the all girl private schools in Memphis and they pay close to $65k a year. I'm sure they're getting a good education but I feel my kids are getting just as good an edu if not better. Plus I want my kids to experience diversity. Their school has that. How diverse can it be when all the kids look them same, drive high end cars their parents buy them and 95% of them are the same race. It's all in what you feel is best for your kids. If it's private then great, if it's public then great.

A '88 Monsters of Rock t-shirt from the Liberty Bowl. 2 Hard Rock London t-shirts from a '89 trip to Europe. Somewhere at my mothers I have a 1986 .38 Special shirts from their concert at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Bon Jovi was the opener. A '88 Def Leppard shirt. A '88 Aerosmith shirt. A '86 Journey "Raised on Radio" tour shirt, Glass Tiger opened. I'm sure I have a ton more but these are the ones I can remember.

Doubletree will be your best bet. It's right on Union Ave across from AutoZone Park and The Peabody. There's a pretty nice Hampton Inn one street over from Beale St. and The W is right across from FedEx Forum.

Stay away from Gus's Fried Chicken, nothing special just a tourist place. Get up early and go to Bryant's for the best breakfast you will ever eat. It's at the southeast corner of Graham and Summer Ave. It's not a big place and fills up quick but is worth the wait. Cozy Corner and Central are best bets for BBQ. Lost Pizza Co. and Rock N Dough pizza are awesome. The zoo is very nice. Feed the giraffes for $5, sting rays are open as well. Stay at The Westin or The Madison and just walk around The Peabody. Make sure you go to the top of The Peabody, great views. Just stay away from streets that are named after states and you'll be just fine. Oh, ride the trolley to Ernestine's and Hazels and get a Soul Burger, frickin awesome, the walk over to The Cheesecake Corner for the best dessert in Memphis. Their both on the corner of G.E. Patterson and S Main. E and H is an old brothel and a great place to hang out and drink really cold beer.

About a month ago I had one stop me coming out of Chick Fil A and ask for $5. I told him no to the cash but I'd buy him some food if he wanted something. Dude told me to kiss his arse that he'd already made $350 that day and would buy his own mf'n food. Told the guy to F off and get a life.
