re: The Athletic article on Missi

It’s so refreshing to see Missi grow every game compared to the bigs of the past. J. Hayes had the physical tools, but lacked the mental growth needed to be an efficient player.

Big win of the offseason with Missi. Changes our potential trade targets immensely.
Weird rant considering Kerr’s resume vs a few games with a team full of the best of the NBA that hasn’t all played together before.

This is such a huge point. Gets us closer to even in terms of advantage if they call the game like they did last night.
All Zion needs to do is have this in his bag. When teams build a wall around the rim, he pulls up and gets it.

Z is unstoppable with a good jumper. 3 options for him when he drives: Take it to the rim, kick it out to a 40% 3pt shooter, pull up and knock down the 10 footer.

MVP
If he gets extra votes to make the All Star game next year because of this announcement, then there is upside.

Lots of these Pels Talk posters are questionable.

Ingram playoff stats last year. It’s the regular season. This board gets irrational after we just went 3-2 in a 5 game road trip against high quality teams.

Everyone will have a down game or a few down games. Let’s see if coaching will match the talent this team has as the season unfolds.

JV gonna feast
Inadvertently, I think unleashing Zion as our 4th quarter closer on a worn down team may be the most optimal way to use Zion (if his conditioning permits this) and close out some wins.

If this was on purpose, great job Willy.
Agreed. He obviously has a high BBIQ and good instincts. NBA body is growing, which is a good thing. Humble and great attitude.

Seems like his putting in the work as well. Dyson will be huge for us in the coming years.

Defense for a rookie playing against second or third units will improve. We have enough of a roster for Willie to figure out what will work best to maximize offense and be efficient on D.

Know what this team needs to be optimal with its current 2 best players?
S P A C I N G

A lineup of CJ, Trey, Hawkins, Zion, and Herb/DD lets Zion collapse the defense when he drives and he has 3 amazing options to kick it out to. 1 or 2 quick passes and you have 3 technically elite shooters getting an open look.

This team has its best players already in place. You get role players to come off the bench and provide something they are extremely good at to allow the system to work.

Great pick tonight for team needs. Not a sexy pick like all the dipshits who think they would be a better GM swinging for the fences every chance they get.
This may be the funniest post I’ve read this year. My man, you spent countless hours researching and posting this shite to a bunch of retarded people on the internet. Bravo, good sir.

Always have enjoyed your posts. Keep on keeping in.

Your posts might make up 40% of this thread. Are you this passionate of a Pels Fan or are you a member of the media? Some of your remarks sound very similar to a MM who once patrolled these boards. Obvious alter of some sort.

Anyway…glad to read through this thread with what would be a normal boring off season. I’m glad Pels are making waves, but there are a lot of varying opinions of the right direction.

No one knows what the correct path may be. That’s why we have to leave it to the professionals (I guess). We have seen glimpses of what this team looks like healthy and thriving. I am the ultimate optimist, but it is hard to keep saying, “wait until we finally get healthy.”

iMO, Giving up BI is an obvious wrong route. The dude lives, eats, and breathes ball. He is our undisputed leader at this point. That toe injury may have thrown off some attitudes of fans, but constantly pushing off an injured toe is hell. I understand that discomfort take a while to work through. The way BI went on a tear at the end of the season shows his true character.

Zion’s shown his potential at being The Guy. He is still 22, but when does that light switch on for him to realize what he has to do to elevate himself and this team to their ultimate potential?

I’d love to see this team finally click and show out, but if Griff can get a great package from Charlotte that includes Z and ships him to the Eastern conference, I finally may come around and agree that’s the best route at this point.

The next week and a half will be interesting.
