This.

And the last time I used them (which was a very long time ago), they arse-raped me on shipping charges.

Seems overboard, unless you're worried about some old porn pics as well.
You're dead-on balls accurate in that assessment. I'm over being so fricking mad now (though still pretty miffed about copies being kept without my knowledge, regardless of altruistic intent), but my immediate concern is that I think there may have been some other hi-res digitized negatives that were not for public consumption (sorry, no porn or barnyard animals)....so I'm left wondering if more of my shite is in other people's possession, or worse yet, posted on the web. I'm more interested in a solution than retribution at this point.

Other decision to be made is whether or not the professed image owner needs to be contacted and start working things from that end. That will hinge on how things go this weekend.

If he's had the pic for upwards of 10+ years mixed with many similar pics that he really did take, then he may very well believe he took it, especially considering the heavy drug use among 80's musicians and his current age. (Or he just needs money).

I don't really give a shite about use of the particular pic. My immediate concern is that there were a whole bunch of other digitized negatives that were not for public consumption...(sorry, not porn)....so I'm left wondering if more of my shite is in other people's possession.

What happened?
Dude denies knowing the self-proclaimed image owner, and was emphatic that he would never divulge any image to anyone. He's a good man, and I'm inclined to believe him.

However, he told me he kept a copy of each and every image he ever digitized (in case a customer damaged their CD and he could make another one). Unfortunately, his employees (mostly musicians) also had access to those files, so it might be tough determining the culprit from the local end. However, he has two people in mind.

Dude is very contrite and being helpful, and he's going to dig out his old hard drives & CDs. We're going to meet at his house Saturday for a little "delete" party, and discuss further action steps.

You figured out what's going on?
I think so, or at least part of it.

Note the business name and owner in this link LINK. I've known the guy most of his life...I went to high school with his sister.

He's a musician and the leader of the band featured in this link LINK. Often times an opening act for many big names (played with BJ Thomas back in the day). They're still active today.

Now look at who digitized a boatload of negatives for me about 10 years ago. He retired from the camera & film developing business about 5 years ago and closed his shop.

Just got back from Walgreens.

They offer this new service where they can take a digital photo and then imprint the image onto vintage film that's no longer made!

Check it out...

(delete photobucket links....friggin full...see following post)

Bird hunting with a shotgun....moving birds, that is.

Well, he snapped it the same time I did in Fort Bend County, Rosenberg, TX, cause my baby sister is in the front row there.

Link? Would like to see for kicks.

Anyone recognize this yahoo? (circa 1982-ish)

LINK

Found it in a pile of old pics today.

I was visiting my parents on leave and my little sister wanted me to take her to the county fair to hear some guy sing. I couldn't believe the way the girls swooned over the clown, so I snapped this pic with my little Kodak 110.

(sorry about using a link...I've got to figure what to do about this PhotoBucket bandwidth bullshite)

re: Why are my jalapeños not hot.

Posted by CoastieGM on 6/10/14 at 6:06 pm
About 5 years ago, some of my jalapenos were weak. The jalapeno plants nearest a row of cherry peppers were the mildest. The further away from the cherry pepper plants, the hotter.

Nothing scientific, just anecdotal.

PS:That only ever happened when I had cherry peppers nearby
That cat must have been coming out from under a tranquilizer for transport. Probably still 3/4 drugged, otherwise it would've tore that guy's arse to pieces...no way in hell he would have been able to tackle a cat that size if it were fully functional.

Does anyone have any experience with one of these? Any functional difference from the old standard white gas version. Problems?

A Scoutmaster down the street from me in Anchorage has a couple in his garage sale today for $25 each.

OP is in Houston region. Has no choice but to use ethanol mixture.
