re: Saints QB options for 2025

I'm not opposed to drafting a QB and rolling the dice with Rattler. Just posted this in another thread, but quinn ewers would be a solid pick for that plan based on his current day 3 projection. I wouldn't be mad if saints took him with one of the round 3 picks tonight. I also wouldn't be mad about shedeur sanders either. I just didn't want him at pick 9

Quinn Ewers could end up being the steal of the draft. He was considered one of the top quarterbacks in the draft before the season. He tore his oblique in week 2 and played through it. Manning eventually pushed him out
It looked like Tommy tanks gave a similar message after his grand slam today. Pretty sure I lip read “f*ck you, b*tch”
He looked comfortable and like he was having fun. I hope he can keep it going. Those long hoses to first were great

That pitch wasn’t close at all. Terrible call
Link? From what I’ve read about them, most message boards are melting over losing these guys. Don’t be such a pessimist.
Follow baseball during the rest of the season and you would understand
Go back to your hole and let us enjoy the CWS
LSU threw “everyone else” tonight after ackenhausen and Guidry had issues against a HR hitting team. The better pitchers are coming tomorrow for lsu while Florida has used theirs, and LSU is just as much a HR hitting team. Look for skenes, herring, Guidry, and cooper on the mound tomorrow! Game on!

Why are you bringing him in after they score five runs? Whoever starts has a SHORT leash.

This is what people are missing. If you start someone else and it goes to shite quick, ok bring him in before damage is done and have him shut them down.

so you just leave skenes warming up and/or hot all game? that isn't how it works. If it goes to shite quick, it stays shite until the next pitcher is ready. WF pitcher has an exceptional ERA too. Skenes can prevent more runs, but can't take runs off the board. You don't want to fall behind with Lowder on the mound. You're worried about Florida, but LSU isn't playing Florida without a win tonight. It really is simple. Skenes should start tonight if it's determined he is ready.

He was 8 for 18 in the supers/regionals, was red hot then. People have short term memories.

That doesn't fit their narrative and you're giving them too much credit that they were actually watching lsu baseball games then. Thompson has been clutch in a lot of games all year. Offense and defense

Did your bartender just tell you he refuses to change the channel? May need to take a nap. It's a little early
To be fair, that was a collective error. Collins needs to learn to put himself in line with the throw when he backs up a throw. He was on the wrong side of the field

I would agree with this but can we give a shout out to Mr. Bramblett? In a game where field position was paramount, he came up aces for us.

That was a bad punt that took a good bounce
No. Saints made a poor decision at QB and a poor decision trading CGJ. That's on the current staff

You’re the one conveniently ignoring the other 3 of 4 quarters of his abysmal play in that game. As always, winston had problems with playing well with any type of consistency. If anything, he was consistently bad for most of that game

We basically played the same as Week 1 without the win

The only TD in the first 3 quarters in week 1 was by taysom hill. You must be part of the Winston cult. Today’s offense was light years better than anything we’ve had all season
Did you watch the game? Saints overcame that and then the refs made awful calls giving vikings the lead late in the game. Saints, and dalton particularly, played really well. Special teams needs work, but saints played well enough to win this game. Refs skewed the odds

Kelly isn't a good coach

Let’s not forget LSU was down to 39 scholarship players at the end of last year. Kelly has done a hell of a job. With that said, special teams has a lot of work to do
