re: It’s the offensive line

Need tackles that can move….require to pull and handle quick edge rushers! The benefit of being 6’5” and 325 lbs only helps when you can move…otherwise give me a guy the size of Plyburn! Aggressive, string and fast….and hopefully smart enough to know scheme rules!
Yup…Sark to Texas, Riley to USC and half the folks on TDroppings wanted Napier! He was the best available and the $ was agreed aupon buy school prez and BOS!

I imagine the school pres and board of supervisors signed off on a $100m contract! And if not Kelly in ‘21, who else? Sark went to Texas and Riley to USC
He says these things because he gets his talking points from Air Force 1 along with his marching orders! Take care of Louisiana and not DC!

Agree Kelly needed to go, but don’t lie ro us about buy out and Jimbos extension at A&M……Governors aren’t supposed to lie…when will people stop tolerating this sort of thing!
He may do this….but to lie to us about who pays the buy out and who extended Jimbos contract is just wrong!

Totally agree about being either lost, no grasping the defensive assignment or responding to keys. All essential to being a linebacker or DB. I’m not sure if he is loafing/lazy but possibly individually frustrated to finding himself in the wrong place too frequently. Not a good experience to feel out of place.

LSU - some coordinators do well!

List of a few who made the move successfully.

Ryan Day-Ohio State
Chip Kelly- Oregon
Lincoln Riley-Oklahoma
Kirby Smart- Georgia
Marcus Freeman- Notre Dame
Dan Lanning - Oregon
Clark Lea - Vanderbilt
Brent Key - G tech

I think this is accurate! And if we go this way, do we hire an offensive or defensive guy?

Wondering if reselling tickets has a correlation to so many fans leaving at half time in games we are winning……

A&M Fans at Tiger Stadium

Saw the video of the post game A&M celebration and was amazed at how many Aggie fans were there… Seems like a lot of LSU fans sold tickets to the biggest home game of the year…thoughts?
Inaccurate for sure….if an oncoming car, 75 yards away, was taking a left into a driveway, would they have been charged wih the same crime? The truck that braked reacted to seeing a car over 100 yards away moving back into the correct lane.

Bunched up receivers

Just watched the whole Ole Miss game and focused on incomplete passes. Almost every time we had a poor throw/, missed target, or a defended ball there were 2 or 3 LSU players in the immediate vicinity. Watching the Ole Miss passing attack and the Alabama offense later, almost each time there was a pass thrown the receiver was the only one in the area. Did anyone notice this? Scheme or route discipline?

And at least one game when we didn’t have a costly coverage breakdown! Hope it is a trend!
Got the suspension for coming out after the ejection, I believe.
I wonder how missing on 7 of the top 10 kids from Louisiana, according to on3, in 2023 is causing us a problem with quality upper classman? I include Heard in that miss!

An word on how Hurley is doing?

No news for a week….hope he’s ok!
And obviously every team who doesn’t spend the most must do other things to win. Better coaching, get kids to aspire, pride in your performance and recognition that an individual can both contribute to team success and improve their chance to make the NFL. Do those things and very good, 4 star recruits, can win it all.
Great comments….couldn’t agree more. The combination of aggressive physical players and attacking defensive scheme from coaches is the key to success. Need them both. Physical athletes can be restricted by lack of affirmative coaching and defensive philosophy. Those teams all have a aggressive mindset, not a “bend don’t break” approach

Thanks!
