STRICTLY a one trick pony. Let Manziel tweak an ankle and they're a three loss team
So...you're saying the same team that lost 3 games last year is a one trick pony if they only loose 3 this year without Johnny?

re: Which SEC program has the best '13 draft class?
Posted by Reno2007 on 2/24/13 at 3:28 pm
I'd say if A&M can go first overall and/or two in the top 5 or so, plus another 4 or so drafted....for the program that's a pretty big feather in the hat.
Down the road though, LSU players probly have the biggest impact. There's so many af them and honestly if a lot of them would have waited I think LSU would be all over the board in the 14 draft....IOW talent x quantity x potential, LSU is on top

I assure you the A&M posters on this thread explaining the situation are not college students and most definately know what they are talking about.....
However, how can any person no matter their education, experience and technical knowledge hope to compete with the awe inspirig wisdom of.....ahhh that's douche, what a douche I hate him.
One day when I grow up I hope I can spout wisdom like that!

Excerpt from the article:
This is exactly the point that is being made, you all are trying to make this a JFF trying to get paid point and its not, its a compliance issue.
quote:
"What the NCAA told us is, because it's so popular now in terms of his nickname with his name, people will know that immediately," LSU Compliance Director Jayson Santos said.

What does JFF do that pisses everyone off so bad?
He's living life...he's great at what he does and the coverage of him isnt about him working all the time, or his faith or something like that...so insecure and unhappy people tend to look at that and get really pissed off

You really are mad, aren't you, MsGarrison? I thought you were just trolling, but I think JFF is genuinely under your skin. Go fire up the grill, throw back some good drink, and don't give Manziel so much thought. Life's too short.
Amen, and try to get laid every now and then

hey dumbass. Did you see where I said how many #3 jerseys were sold?
Yeah I also saw where your dumbass said that players names are sold....keep up retard.

Show me the bylaw that states this.
Why dont you go frick yourself and look it up on your own, you really think the NCAA has people standing by to help athletes in cases like this?
Again, you dont know what your talking about....calling me a dumbass doesnt make you smarter

Now, Unfortunately players in the NCAA do not get paid royalties when their numbers and names are sold for millions. How many #3 alabama jersey's were sold simply because Trent Richardson was a beast (which he worked his arse off for) yet never received a red cent for. That's the real problem.
However, in this case, Manziel doesn't want to play by the rules that everyone else has (who can blame him) and now he's suing over a nickname. Perhaps something good can come from this but the way he is handling his fame is prickish at best.
Dude you seriously do not know what your talking about.....Players names do not get sold, the only replica of individual players which can be sold is their number, i.e. replica jerseys and the video game example. Maybe you dont understand the full extent as to why he is doing this because a lot of the merchandise being produced is mainly in Texas...but there are tons of products that have been and are being produced that are not legal from several standpoints. They not only replicate the Johnny Football nickname, which the Manziel family is in the process of claiming, but Johnny's first and last name, likeness, etc.
The bylaws of the NCAA absolutely state if that if businesses (I'm not talking about the schools) profit from certain likeness of individual athlete they will lose their eligability. It is up to that individual, themselves, to prevent this from happening.
I have already seen lots of things, that if someone wanted to be a dick about it, could rule him ineligable. However, since he is proactively defending it he is on the up and up.
So point being you people are saying he's a douche because he's not letting some people sell things off his likness and I'm telling you that its a huge issue, recognized by the school in the fall.

Some of you people are really bitter little nerds.
This trademark stuff began in the fall because if Johnny and his family do not stop people from selling and profiting off his likeness it will result in serious eligibility issues for him.
HE HAS NO CHOICE but to do this if he wishes to continue playing ball. Does anyone really think JFF is going to become rich from some damages from a guy selling a few t-shirts online? Hell no, he will most likely never see a dime, however a ruling in his favor will establish a precedent in his favor and stop everyone and their dog from trying to make money off him and his name.

re: Ole Miss Rebels' chances against Texas and Texas A&M
Posted by Reno2007 on 2/13/13 at 12:36 am
For whatever reason I'm pretty sure I watched every Ole Miss game last year and along with A&M you could see them getting better and better every week...the team that played LSU at the end of the year was NOT the same team that lost to Texas.
I will definitely put my money on Ole Miss against Texas, that program is stagnant and there no reason the Rebs can't go in there and make a big statement for their program.
