Vertical (downfield) LSU STILL CAN'T THROW THE BALL DOWNFIELD! IE: a vertical passing game, anyone can throw the ball five yards or a wr screen.... geez
I'll post all I want thank you! Still trying to see a verticle passing game???????

re: Option

Please excuse me saying the OC was leaving, I misread a post saying the wr coach Billy Gonzales was taking the oc position at Illinois! Guess he got tires of teaching Russell Sheppard how to block? To all the grammar ninnies concerning my unability/ inability to accurately explain a mediocre qb's failed attempt at staying in the pocket long enough for a route longer than 5yds to open up before running and the coninued use of the crouton/miles option to subsidize this weakness, I'm sure div. 2 Georgia southern and their high powered option could use a fee more English teachers! It's called a PRO style offense for a reason!!! I still stand bythe facts of my previous post!

Option

I've always hated the option as it was run at LSU! IMO it was used to replace our mediocre qb's passing unability! It doesn't work in the NFL and it doesn't work against a very good defense. What it does all to often is kill drives after our players get tackled for huge losses!!! Thank God JJ and the oc are finally gone.
I've been screaming about this sinse les miles introduced it. LSU isn't army navy or Georgia southern, we r a pro style school

re: What I got from Alleva's Letter

Maybe this is why chad jones left?
why stay?
money talks// BUT so does coaching decisions!!!
If anyone thinks there won't be fallout from this they are crazy.

Alleva, maybe it is you that is floundering?????
"Because most of the Nega-tigers are too young to remember the many years of bad to mediocre teams/coaching we sat thru just wishing every year LSU could be regarded as a top tier program"

That is bunk!!! I remember and I am mad as hell
do you remember Deion sanders. he played both sports/ unless you are referring to lsu baseball, then i don't know.
dandy don said money talks::: I say coaching decisions speak awfully LOUDLY too.... or lack of coaching :ie offensively goofy offensive philosophy...

GOOD LUCK Chad Jones and thanks for everything.
geaux tigers
Geez this post is laughable. Crowton's philosophy is whacked. ex: let's run the option a few time's and say we make a first down or so. Then let's run it again and kill our drive because we get a five or six yard LOSS!!!!!!!
Substitute the option with a qb run that does the same thing.
or a wr screen or whatever that is they do. ( i actually like that play sometimes though, just not with all the other side to side plays we do)
Basically, his philosopy stinks, don't forget that we havn't even used our tight end this year and our wr's are supposed to be great at catching the ball not blocking for the option.
Top all that off with our running plays that take all day to get going.... uggh i've pulled all my hair out........ i've lost it.
I hate USC too!!! who care about cry baby pete.

Yes. But I still like chavis.
running would fall under subject#4
4. is it me or are lsu's running plays the absolute slowest developing plays of alltime?
and that would be who's fault???
Maybe you can remember dissing me last year about this/ time for JustSmokin to eat some crow.

Dizzy is an appropriate name...

This same terrible offense set LSU's all time record for total yards and points scored last year.

say what ya want, but Saban damn near lost to a true freshman makin his 1st start in the NC.

thats bullloney!!!!!! u forget he sat ingram out for the third quarter and was just running off tackle and killing clock. A very smart thing imo.
thank you! I just posted that it seems as though our running plays take for ever to get going.
It's gotta be coaching!!!

Give me More BAMM as in emerald and Bamm!
Ok so I was posting this subject last dec. I believe there are a few more fans on my side this year. Here are a few more thoughts....

1. Is anyone else not only tired of the stupid clock management, but also losing at least five yards each game at least once or TWICE on the option play, THUS ENDING DRIVES?

2. Not using the all american TE enough???????

3. having an EAST/WEST offense (option & wr pass) intead of a NORTH/SOUTH off.

4. is it me or are lsu's running plays the absolute slowest developing plays of alltime?

Give me the pro style offense that LSU is known for...... plzzzzzzzzz

5. please no excuse's for crow-pleasebgone like last years excuse about lee not being teebow.

Stupid Offensive gameplans and calls

nitwit >"T.J. Richardson to scoot 49 yards through the line for a 49-yard touchdown in the second quarter."
you are wrong sir. miles did not turn this program around.
