Thank you Jesus. We need a good series to get shite going again.
UK's season could likely come down to winning this series, because they need at least 2 wins with Vandy and Arkansas still left before ending the year with Mizzou in Columbia.
UK's schedule has been awful.
SEC in NCAAT since 2010
Posted by UKUFLaw on 3/23/13 at 10:21 am
FACT: The SEC is the only conference to have 2 teams in the Elite 8 every year since 2010.
FACT: The SEC, Big Ten and Big East are the only conference to have 2 teams in the Sweet 16 every year since 2010. [Note: The Big Ten & Big East has always received two or three more bids then the SEC]
If Ole Miss and UF win Sunday against lower seeds, the SEC will be 4-1 in 2013, thus pushing their winning percentage in the NCAAT since 2010 to 68% [27 wins - 13 losses].
SEC record in NCAAT since 2010-
2013: 2-1
2012: 10-3 [UK, UF Elite 8]
2011: 7-5 [UK Final 4, UF Elite 8]
2010: 6-4 [UK, UT Elite 8]
Wish someone could get this info to Barkley to shut this assclowns up on CBS.

re: SEC dominates college athletics across the board.

Since 2006, the SEC has had at least one team play for the national title in 15 of the last 21 Big Three (Baseball, Basketball, Football) Championship games.
We have won 13.
I'd say that is as dominating as you can get.

re: Will Kentucky fans support Mizzou?

I will overlook the Mizzou assclown in this thread and instead remind everyone that in 2002, UK fans were instrumental in Duke losing to Indiana in Rupp Arena. The place was very loud for IU from start to finish because UK fans came to cheer against Duke. Do you honestly think they won't do that to UofL? You can bet your hindparts if Mizzou stays close, there will be no home court advantage for UofL.
Keep in mind also that it's a fact of life that SEC founding members don't waste an opportunity to do the SEC chant and remind every other conference of their place in the world [particularly given the amount of poo that has been rained on us the past two weeks from national talking heads]. I was in New York at the Garden when John Wall decided to cream all over UConn's face and the SEC chant could be heard from the street. Great moment in history.

So you "stole" away a proud alum and former player of your own school?
That's like boasting about getting a lot of pussy because you nail your wife every night. Congrats. Must have been a tough sell.

So you're going to use this to prove they have a better baseball program? Anyone who thinks that is a complete idiot. They have never been to Omaha. We have been 8 times overall. Since 1993 they've only made the NCAA tourney 4 times, never won the SEC tournament. MSU in that time frame has 3 CWS appearances, 14 NCAA tournament appearance, 3 SEC tourney titles.
Someone asked for a "modern day" scoreboard. Just because you do not like the results, does not mean it is not true.

If UK's sports programs are such shite, then why did State take UK's assistant assistant assistant AD and make him your athletic director [Stricklin]?

re: ETA: It's official, Joker Phillips to UF as a WR coach
Posted by UKUFLaw on 12/3/12 at 10:10 am
He should have never been a head coach in the first place. Period.
re: SEC! SEC! SEC! Check in here if you want the SEC to go 9-0!!
Posted by UKUFLaw on 12/3/12 at 10:07 am
9-0, right here. Considering all the *&$% we take for being Southerners and as much as we have had to defend the SEC, you are a communist if you root against your conference at this point.
re: ETA: It's official, Joker Phillips to UF as a WR coach

If there is one area that Joker excels (and it may only be one area), its coaching wide receivers. Stevie Johnson (now with the Bills), Jacob Tamme (Broncos), Dicky Lyons and Keenan Burton were a few on his resume. Technically, he could take responsibility for Randall Cobb (Packers). Chris Matthews and LaRod King were decent. When his responsibilities spread to other areas, he was god awful. And his reputation as a recruiter is not nearly as good as some give him credit for. Of course, at UF, all you have to do is put two sentences together and you can get a recruit, so doubt he will have any trouble doing that.
re: Stoops to UK

I do not like the idea of hiring a coach without any head coaching experience at a place like UK. At a place like UF, you can be successful because you are given unlimited resources at your disposal and are surrounded by folks who know WTF they are doing to become a winner. UK? Not so much.
With that said, UK is just not a great job and to get a coach who is from Ohio, has connections to Florida and a last name that gets your foot in the door, I am not sure any alternative is comparable (after Petrino of course). At least on paper, this is a great hire. If he can reel in a top 25 class this year and manage to keep together the younger talent, the program will make significant strides pretty soon.
The problem the program will have going further is, if he does make the strides that many anticipate, will he bolt for a better job once he recognizes the program won't make the commitment they promised and/or he recognizes the program is not going to compete for national titles? I think most know the answer to that question.

Kentucky 47 Kent State 14
The Golden Flashes have not lost another game all year and are currently ranked 23rd in the country.

Just remember, the league's worst program (Kentucky) is still 33 points better than the current 23rd-ranked team in the country (Kent State).

Really tough loss for the SEC, who needed some quality non-conference wins. Particularly considering Arkansas was up by 11 at half, this one sucks balls.

Jones likely found out that UK does not support success in football.
