re: On Record Now: Haener will look better than Shough in Camp/Preseason

Im sure you would know more than Kellen Moore who has coached Dak, Justin Herbert and Hurts. I’m sure he should’ve consulted with you before he made the pick.
re: Saints will pass on Shedeur in 2nd Round (if still there) for one major reason.

This thought is flawed because 31 other teams didn’t want Sanders. He’s really not that good. Just slightly better than average.

Would they have retired his number if his name was Benny Williams?
re: Another swing and a miss for Loomis

How is it a swing and a miss? A good GM assesses a player and makes a determination on his value. There’s no way I would Kupp that kind of money for that guy.

For the life of me, I can’t figure out why this is the hill Democrats are willing to die on. It’s a loser issue. The democrats take the bait every time, it’s an 80/20 issue at best.
Democrats support Ukraine but pushed Israel to cut a deal for ceasefire
Posted by tigerworkpart2 on 2/20/25 at 6:22 pm
Why are democrats so obsessed with Ukraine and are telling them to hold out of peace agreements but wanted Israel to accept a crappy ceasefire deal? Ukraine has been one of the more corrupt countries on the planet. What are the Democrats trying to protect?
The deficit!!!

People amaze me when they say that the cuts that Trump is making is just a drop in the bucket. This is the reason we are in the shape we are in financially, people freely spending money that’s not theirs and with no real accountability. People who think this country can’t and won’t go off a financial cliff have the same mindset as the people who sailed on the titanic ( this ship is unsinkable).
These cuts also have in many ways destroyed the narrative preached by Democrats over the years sighting the need for more tax increases. You don’t need tax increases if you manage your money better. I’m not a millionaire or a billionaire but vilifying them just to have a billionaire audit the government’s books and show waste has been legendary.

Woodward doesn’t care about men’s basketball

Obviously LSU is just not serious about winning in men’s basketball. Even with LSU’s history of producing really good/great players, the program is just an afterthought.
re: What do you do when no one wants to coach your team?

Some people on this board are clueless. The NFL is designed for quick turnarounds. If you criticize Loomis for hiring Allen then you have to give him credit for CSP. So he’s 1/2 in coaching hires. Glenn was never coming to the Saints. He spent the majority of his career in NY. Stop with the false narratives that he was considering the Saints job. Vrabel was going to NE. Chicago was the one job I guess you could rate higher than the Saints because they have a young qb (I still don’t think Caleb Williams is an elite QB).
I still hope it’s McCarthy, he just has the experience but we’ll see.

Dan Quinn wasn’t the commanders first choice
Posted by tigerworkpart2 on 1/23/25 at 11:04 am
For all of the chicken little fans, the Washington Commanders were hoping to get Ben Johnson last year but he pulled out of the hiring process. Which the Commanders hired Dan Quinn.
My personal preference is Mike McCarthy, but if it’s Brady I’m ok with that. I do think things will work out, Loomis learned from his mistake. Mueller was not a fan of Allen as a coach.

The Jets job is Glenn’s first choice.

re: Saints currently dont have urgent interest in Mike McCarthy
Posted by tigerworkpart2 on 1/14/25 at 11:31 pm
I don’t even believe this. Everyone with an X account is an expert. The Saints are a very deliberate team. They are scheduled to meet with McCarthy, they’ve had a virtual interview with Glenn. You could pick that apart as well, why haven’t they hired or offered the job to Glenn. I think they learned from their mistake with Allen and want to be more thorough. I believe they are going to interview Brady as well. Also, Mueller who is an advisor to Loomis is a big fan of McCarthy, not saying McCarthy will be the hire but to say he’s not seriously being considered is just not true.

People who dismiss McCarthy really just don’t understand football. People have a short memory, McCarthy turned Aaron Brooks into a good quarterback (while McCarthy was the OC with the Saints). His record is nearly the same as Sean Payton and similar to Mike Tomlin. I don’t know about you but I would take a 12-5 record.
You have a choice in a proven commodity or a gamble on an unproven coordinator who has never been a head coach. While there are examples of coordinators becoming successful obviously MCCarthy was an OC at one time but I think at this time the Saints need stability at head coach and a proven track record.
I wouldn’t hate a rookie coach but I think McCarthy is the best option from what I see.

McCarthy is a good coach, Dallas is a mess he can’t be judged on that. His record is very similar to Payton’s record. Would you take Sean Payton back?

My goodness, LSU fans are constantly complaining about the announcers. Please just paint your nails and answer to the name bitch.
re: Who sucks the most? Dennis Lauscha, David Griffin, or Mickey Loomis?

They all suck equally
re: Rumors “ Mike McCarthy to saints possible if fired”

He’s the same age as Sean Payton and they have pretty much the same record. No coach wins in Dallas.

Isn’t Ole Miss the only team from the old west division to never represent the west in the sec championship? They actually celebrate being a co champs back in 2003. Talking about reaching.
