I think you can remove the bracing no problem

Well, not saying you’re wrong, but a live oak is actually a white oak
If it’s already on the ground buy yourself an echo Timberwolf, cut it in pieces and place on curb for bulk trash.

Composite deck cleaner

Posted by HBomb on 3/2/25 at 11:29 am
Does anyone have a good composite deck cleaner? I was using Corte clean with pretty good results but appears they may be out of business.

I have a pretty large deck and with typical mildew spots. I’ve used 30 second cleaner in the past and it seems to change the color so trying to avoid any bleach based options. Also heard it makes it more susceptible for mildew to return.

Really wishing I had gone 100% pvc.
Just look at the bill from the lab, it will say how your insurance covered the charges from the labs ordered. This is a very normal situation. There a million different policies out there that pay differently.

I have a 98 Z71 that has a parasitic battery drain. I installed a remote battery disconnect and problem solved.

Also have this pass lock issue where the security doesn’t let me start it sometimes until I do a 10 minute reset, but that’s another issue with an old truck
My wife decided we needed an organic turkey($65), “because you don’t know where the others come from.”

re: Front license plates

I got pulled over one time in Tyler, Tx for speeding. He checked for my front license plate, which I do not have. He asked if I had ever been told that I needed, to which I replied no, and he said good answer. He gave me a warning and sent me on my way.

I spoke with one of my neighbors who is a retired Dallas pd about the front license plate. He said it’s just another reason they can pull you over, but other than that not really anything.

Quebec Black Bear Hunt

Posted by HBomb on 8/25/24 at 7:12 pm
Has anyone on the board done a black bear hunt in Quebec Canada? One of my buddies is planning on having his bachelor party in Montreal next year and we are thinking about a few of us going early and getting in a hunt. Considering either spring or fall.

Seems there are lots of outfitters. Just wondering if anyone had any good experiences and if there are dos or don'ts. TIA

I bought a pair of xtra tuff after I went to Alaska and saw everyone wearing them. Super comfortable and long lasting
Check out mosquito sniper. It’s a pump sprayer system that you hook up with a gas blower. I have a backyard full of bamboo and trees and this thing is super effective. Spray everything
That’s awesome. I have some creek property in northwest Arkansas that I’ve been scouring to find an arrowhead. There’s literally millions of rocks everywhere, so I’m not sure if I’d even notice one if it was in front of my face
We had this at my prograd. I remember it being funny and very believable
You can also amend the soil with expanded shale, but since it seems they’re already in the ground that boat has sailed.
You can also amend the soil with expanded shale, but if you’ve already planted them, that boat has sailed.
Probably a good soak every other day for a couple weeks, unless there is rain.

After that just look at the soil around the plant just below surface. If it’s dry water, if not let it be.
Once established you should only water when soil is dry. This should not take too long and being in the ground will not stay dry as long somewhat normal rain occurs.

Osmocote is a good all around fertilizer. You’ll want to sprinkle under the surface of mulch.
I’ve only done it with the unit off.
I have a 5 year old navien tankless and do the descale/servicing on it myself once a year. There’s a great video on YouTube that goes through the steps.

You’ll need a bucket, sump pump, washing machine hoses and a couple of gallons of vinegar. I did not do it the first couple years and when I dumped the vinegar and it dried on the ground there was a ton of scale. Ever since then I’ve done it yearly and there is not nearly as much.

Really pretty easy if you are at all handy.
