Privateer, There are two aspects of living in SE Texas that I strongly recommend you do your "due diligence" on.
First there is the occurrence of subsidence. In Baytown a complete subdivision on the coast went underwater. Secondly, there is the issue of surface flooding. Everything to the north of SE Texas drains to the Gulf. Massive flooding can and does occur in some areas. Newer subdivisions are permitted with the streets designed as detention ponds. Fifty inches of rain occurred over the area during Hurricane Harvey. Massive flooding occurred along creeks and bayous and even along channelization which is used for drainage of stormwater. An official elevation certificate of your slab is a must and its up to you to ensure its adequate for what may come down the road. Real Estate people may or may not tell you of past flooding problems. Good luck on your search for a home.

62 years too late for me. If only I had those when I was 18 yo, the population would be much larger today!

I assumed he was sending it across the narrow sea to someone keeping up with the action.
What was Arya looking at just before the end of the episode?

Was that supposed to be Sandor's burnt body? or what?

I saw this show advertised and passed on it. Then I got the flu, couldn't sleep in the bed with all the coughing, slept in the recliner downstairs, turned on the TV looking for something to pass the sleepless night and rediscovered this show. Didn't like the 1st episode, was kinda lost with the characters. Then it all started making sense and by the end of the 3rd or so episode I couldn't turn it off. Watched all 7 in 2 nights. What a great show.
I admit the comments above about the worthless gay stuff was not necessary but they needed a woman to take charge and who else but a "bull dike" could fill that bill? Overall, all the characters made the story that much more interesting to me and could never predict the ending.
I was much impressed with this show and recommend it to everyone. Just don't make it a 7 night thing. You need to get on with the action and development of the story.

For what it's worth I think clunky execution also hampered the end of the Arya, Nymeria scene. They shouldn't have to explain in a after-show feature what she meant by "that's not her". It just seems to be sloppy writing and/or directing.
Did I miss some after show explanation? If so, is there a link to it? If not, what was the explanation?
Thanks.

Does anyone think we will see Nymeria again in the story? I was disappointed that after Nymeria recognized Arya that she didn't run over grab a stick and bring it to Arya and then snuggle with her.
It would be awesome if somewhere before the end of story we would get to see the wolf pack devour some asswipe that is threatening Arya.

Im curious about this as Eurons fleet was clearly outfitted with iron all on the ships. Not as flamable as all wood ships
Iron doesn't burn but sails do. He can't remake them while at Sea either. She could put him dead in the water for multiple dragon strikes from the air.But that's the General in me coming out. She's no General.

And how can a fleet sneak up on another fleet without anyone sounding an alarm?

Whos was that hanging from the front of the boat at the end? I thought I saw a skirt overlying the pants. Would that be Yara?

You can't go wrong with SICARIO.

just surfing around and noticed this thread again. Had to laugh cause I've watched Sicario 4 times already, just finished looking up the list of award nominations and can't believe Del Toro didn't win the AA for Best Supporting Actor, although he did win a ton of awards from the smaller institutions. Now that the Adrenalin is pumping like crazy just thinking about that movie I will watch it again tonight.Kudos to everyone involved in that film.

I was appalled at how scraggly and skinny Pitt is right now. Is he dying of something?

I don't have a link for it but I nominate the caravan ride into and out of Juarez in "Sicario".

The trailer is hilarious. I'm in for the season. Amanda is the perfect cast for her character. I've never watched anything on IFC so was surprised at the language but its perfect for premium TV.

I watched it the first time on Prime without knowing anything about it. Really enjoyed it. Then last night I thought about it again and pulled it up. This time I used the headphones so I could crank up the sound and turned on subtitles to catch the whispers. This time I really, really, really, really enjoyed it. I wonder where they shot the scene of going into Mexico. It was so realistic, including the speed bumps. And the score really turned me on. Surely they arranged an actual trip into Mexico with actual Federal Police etc etc.Wonder what that cost?
