H-Town is mostly right. We, like everyone else and especially Bama, have ignorant uneducated fans. LSU is an incredible place that blows Bama away in almost all categories. Even though it is rare that I'm not at a home game, it does happen sometimes. I can hear the stadium roar from my house.
I am EXTREMELY excited about having Brazil here and tearing it up on the field. The guy is a stand up guy that strikes me as the type to not commit until he knows for sure what he wants. He committed, and I'll stand by his commitment. He has helped build this recruiting class. That is something that won't be forgotten as he spends his next few years with us.
JB bring so much to the table beside his measurables. He already has P and G blood pumping through his veins and the heart of Mike the Tiger. People, stop doubting this kid and his love of LSU

See, I can argue effective points, troll, and tease the tangential nature of this board.
For the record, it is possible Mett could not live up to the hype. I think at worse, he will be an adequate QB that will be seen in retrospect as a massive upgrade.
He potentially could shoot the moon this season and lift that leg while stiff arming

Ironic you listed Aaron Murray. He is breaking school records this year at a team that has fielded some beastly teams, heismans, etc.
FYI, Mettenberger almost beat him out for the starting position. Mettenberger is on a better team than Murray(I do admit UGA deserves some respect this year). But, if Mettenberger plays to the best of his ability, in this his Junior year, he likely will be in the Heisman conversation, but he will probably lose out to Barkley because of padded stats against powder puff Ds. Luckily, I believe the question has a high likelihood of being answered on the field in Miami with a score something like LSU41-USCw21. With USCw scoring a cheap Td in the last few minutes like Ohio State did in 2007.
Barkley is probably the better QB to Mett, but Mett hasn't been unleashed yet. I'm still not totally sold on AJ. He had his career best game by far in the BCSCG and is THE reason Bama won that game(along with our inability to go to the pass). Although I think AJ is a decent to good QB with the coinflip of him showing up at the crucial games, I do believe he is plenty good enough to lead Bama to a decisive win(comparable to the shellacking they gave us on 1/9/12.
USCw is overrated. They are very good, but overrated. I hope we get to prove what we are telling you. We only need the opportunity.

247 bumped him to 4 star at the end of Elite 11 camp. Rivals=Bama homers. You do the math
Rivals did come around later. Hard to keep that star off him for long.

Troll elsewhere. Shep was a highly tauted athlete. He never was a QB at LSU. Go do a little research on the 2012 Elite 11. He did a little more than run middle of the pack(with the best of the very best QBs in the country). Many believe Rettig will be 5star by the end of the season. You need to educate yourself a little more before starting a dumb troll thread. U must have an extra chromosome.
Bottom line. Johnson exceeded everyone's expectations at the Elite 11. Dilfer did not choose him for the Elite 11, but just about every other source put his performance between 5 and 8 at the elite 11. If you can't recoognize and admit that that is evidence of the kids potential to be great, you can chew on an actual dbag. Come correct if you wanna play with the big boys. BTW, good luck with McLeod(Big Red).

I have a hard time believing that he is on campus and nobody can confirm this. Curious where the OP got this from

Be honest...no it didn't. Nice try though

Ah, 2010, not 2011. Got it. The benefit of him would clearly be his ability to just stay on campus today and be at practice tomorrow and at this point is further developed having some time at PS.0U. This could be interesting if he joins our team. Would be a shake up for sure

Max, I think Cap is a little butthurt over Bamas stellar recruiting these last few weeks. Losing Reuben Foster to Auburn, Robert Kn(in his head he was theirs), and the Dodd to LSU.
Why on Earth would a player that Little Nicky wants go anywhere else? For one, the word is out about Saban's temper and the regularity with which he loses it(daily). He is a massive arsehole to his players. Tuscaloosa kinda sucks. It's the only place where a kid gets recruited for water boy AND Jack LB.
Sorry for butthurting you Cap.

Cap, keep your arguments based in facts. Other Bama homer(yes you are a massive homer) is trolling bad here. You are much closer to reality, but still a Happy Gilmore drive from it. The amount of delusion in Bama country is just silly. Even from the beat writers. Get your head out your arses. Reality is a much nicer place to be when you you get kicked in the stomach by losing a commit/recruit like Gunner Kiel, or Reuben Foster, or Robert Knemdiche(the Bama lock of the year per Bama nation prior to his Clemson commitment and announcement LSU was his runner up). In truth, LSU lost him to Clemson. Bama lost him to LSU AND Clemson. Come on down to reality Cap

Really? We somehow have been blessed with two VERY highly recruited QBs. Rettig was Expected to be THE top QB in the 2013 class before he was injured. He has made a full recovery, and will only get better between now and when he arrives on campus. Johnson was not given the credit he clearly deserved and is proving his worth already at the Elite 11 camp. I would say the odds you pulled out your butt should like more like this:
Chance one or both of them turns out to be great: 10 to 30%
Chance one or both will turn out to be at minimum good: 95%
Chance neither pans out to be considered good: less than 5%
You must be a Bama fan trolling. Both of these kids are considered incredible talents. It's looking like we will have two of the top ten QBs in the country. Either could and would be starters almost anywhere and they have chosen wisely with LSU. They both are extremely competitive and will make push to make each other better. Both could easily end up being a starter for two years before departing us to play on Sundays. Getvyer head out yer butt. Both of these kids are special. Gonna be even more special after getting Moffitized and Kragged.
Tuck tail and go back to Bama.

I have witnessed your being run off several times. Fact.
Of course 21-0 is the pill being swallowed right now. You got beat in your own backyard. Vyou are lucky you got the mulligan because otherwise you would still be swallowing the pill from 9-6 in T-Town.
It's a great rivalry that will no doubt decide many many many national title game participants.
I get fed up quickly with idiot fans from UA ANd LSU. The stupidity runs rampant on these boards.
