I don't like Kelly's approach. Why do we need two DL and two DB coaches. I would much rather a dedicated ST coach....

Could it be that the state of the defense is as much the fault of the head coach as it is def coordinator? And Kelly realizes that.
-Kelly hired all the assistants as House was committed to the NFL.
-Recruiting for defensive players has been mediocre. That is the head coach and recruiting coor...

Have you considered the chance that the defensive struggles could be more the fault of BK?
He hired the entire defensive staff before House came on board
He is the one that wants to have separate safety and cornerback coaches. I don't know another coach with this philosophy.

House will be back. Last year with serviceable talent he had a respectable defense. They missed miserably in the portal this year, and have had significant attrition to potential starters this year.

Speights totally missed the play before and Perkins misses the next play. He is just miffed if your "experienced senior MLB" and your young super star LB can't simply fill a hole and put their shoulder into the RB. This is basic fundamental football, where is Weeks? Is Kelly trying to RS him?...
