Posted by totalqualitysafety on 12/29/23 at 12:21 pm
Dynasty League. PPR. Playing for Championship. We play 1QB, 1 RB, 1WR, 1TE, 3 Flex. I am starting Hurts, Kamara, Tyreek Hill, Engram in positions. Need 3 flex spots. Options are Mixon, Derrick Henry, Ekeler, Diggs, Deandre Hopkins. Other options are Thielen, Warren, Brian Robinson, Noah Brown, Demarcus Robinson, Waller. Pick 3. Also, Eagles or Chiefs Defense?

Me, my brother and my 14 year old daughter are going. I don’t like to wait, so I bought tickets this morning. We are headed to Tennessee for Christmas and thought it would be cool to catch a Saints away game
re: Deepwater Horizon

It is funny that this subject comes up. I worked on the Deepwater Horizon and knew most of the guys/people out there at the time. There is definitely a lot of LSU fans and Alabama fans (along with Ole Miss, Arkansas and Miss St) that work on drilling rigs. Our safety topic this week has been crew morale, and we have made several references to SEC football around this subject. I personally used the Bey-Bey story with the rope in his first player meeting as an example of everyone pulling in the same direction. I also did a little bantering with the crew and let them know that I will be at the LSU/Alabama game this year and that Coach O will lead the Tigers to their first win over the Gumps in the last 6 tries and that my daughter will be leading the FU Saban chant. The next day, one of my friends broke out a quote from Nick Saban to counter everything I said about the LSU Tigers. He even pointed out the Alabama National Tiltes. On drilling rigs, even though we root for different schools, we are generally like a family. It's all good fun. As for the movie, I will take it at face value. All I know is that 11 of my friends died on the rig that horrible day, and several more have experienced life altering changes. God Bless them! When I get in from offshore, I will go watch the movie (only because I personally know all of the real guys that these actors are portraying). I'm sure I will cry like a baby. Last thought, if they are making references to LSU football or Alabama football in the movie, then at tleast that part of the story is true.

I would think that Ken Norton, Jr. would take over as DC, but that's just a guess.

Kris Richard (Seahawks DB Coach)--35 years old. Already coached in 1 Super Bowl and maybe another this year. He overseas probably the best unit in football--Legion of Boom. He played at USC and has learned from Gus Bradley/Quinn/Carroll. Just think him telling recruits: "I coached Sherman, Thomas and Chancellor." He can also flash at least one championship ring.
re: If our new DC is on staff of NFL playoff team, who could it be realistically?

Ted Monachino (Ravens LB Coach)
Kris Richard (Seahawks DB Coach)
Winston Moss (Packers LB Coach)
All of these guys are Super Bowl winning coaches that have coached All Pros that are impressive. This would not hurt with recruiting.
Even though Richard is DB coach, he has a USC connection with Coach O.
If we are considering Del Rio, then:
Sean McDermott
Greg Manusky

re: Ok, so who will be the flavor of the day hire?

Ted Monachino (Raven LB Coach)--Can tell recruits that he coached Ray Lewis, CJ Mosley, Suggs, Dumervil, Upshaw, Ellerbe and Kruger. 48 yrs. old
Kris Richard (Seahawks DB Coach)--Can tell recruits he helped build the "LoB". 35 yrs. old--Very young and bring needed energy to the Defense. Played at USC, so may have ties to Coach O
Neither guy is being mentioned for DC jobs in the NFL, so they would probably jump at an opportunity at LSU

Carolina Panther DC
He learned from one of the best DC's (Jim Johnson)
Current DC with Panthers
Flight going to Carolina
Good Resume
Most People would say "Who"
Good hire

Norton as DC and LB Coach. Brings in O as DL coach, when Brick leaves for A&M. Norton and O have ties back to USC. Just a thought

Ken Norton, Jr?

yeah, just read Narduzzi is coach at Pitt

I haven't seen anyone mention Pat Narduzzi (Michigan St. DC). His salary is under 1 million each year. He was in consideration for the head coaching job at UCONN. I would guess with a few good years as DC at LSU, he could get a better HC opportunity than UCONN
RV Pass for Sale to Ole Miss/LSU--Face Value
Posted by totalqualitysafety on 10/22/14 at 8:13 am
I am selling 1 RV pass to the Ole Miss/LSU game. Pass is in Lot 407. I am asking Face Value ($200). This is actually cheaper than you can get from lsu tix. They would charge a service charge. If interested , please e-mail me at totalqualitysafety@gmail.com. We can make payment arrangements through PayPal and I can send via overnight delivery.
re: Who to Drop?

That was my exact thoughts and that's what I did. I also realized that Dalton was available and the Bengals play the Jags the week of the Bear's bye.
Who to Drop?
Posted by totalqualitysafety on 10/11/14 at 9:45 am
I usually don't ask about line-ups but just looking for some opinions. I do not currently have a Kicker on my roster. I dropped Hauschka to pick up Oliver. I also had to pick up a TE since I have Graham on bye. Which of the following should I drop to fill the K spot:
Roethlisberger (I have Cutler as starter)
Martin
Sproles
Garcon
Crabtree
Whoever I drop, I would try to pick up next week and drop my other TE. Who has the best chance to still be available with a low waiver pick? This is a 10 team PPR league

re: on my team, who would I have to give up to get AJ Green and Gordon
Posted by totalqualitysafety on 10/11/14 at 9:16 am
I would guess that someone would only take Murray or Bernard for AJ Green. I don't think the trade you propose would fly. Just my opinion. AJ is a #1 WR, so I would think it would take a #1 RB to get him
re: Really need some RB2 help
Posted by totalqualitysafety on 10/10/14 at 12:12 pm
I'd roll with Hill. He will get enough touches to outscore the other 2.
re: Anyone picking up Matt Prater off the street?
Posted by totalqualitysafety on 10/8/14 at 9:49 am
Dropped Shane Graham and picked up Prater. I also need to replace a kicker in another league, because I dropped him to pick up Oliver. I'm going Prater in that league as well
