These are awesome
If we're talking historically, Auburn always was in the big 3.

If we're talking the current state of the programs, there is no big 3, just the big 2. Arky was fighting to get up into that top tier with a great last few years, but now that CBP is gone, so is that thought. Unless they prove otherwise this season that is.

Auburn just hasn't been consistently relevant the past few years. I don't really think Chizik is the guy to get you back into the big 3 either, personally. I do hope i'm wrong because I like Auburn, but it seems it took a once in a generation player to make you competitive under his reign.

I agree, but I don't see an easy way to do that. You can't just not count big 4 bowls. And if you consider every bowl even then that's not accurate either.

I got thrown out of tiger stadium for throwing a paper airplane. It was a bit ridiculous.

Exactly. Anyone whom thinks we just plug in Mett on Jan9th and we win, don't know football. Pretty much every player on the offensive line was getting pushed backwards. JJ , a mobile qb , was running for his life. All game. Just changing the qb wasn't gonna make us 21 points better. Bama was the better team on Jan9th. They had nothing to lose and played like it.

Plugging in a quarterback may not have been enough for a win, but it would have done more than you suggest. First off, if Bama respects our passing attack, then they don't stack the box. This makes it easier to run and set up play action, which was our bread and butter all year. That being said the o-line play was sloppy and Mcarron played lights out which no one expected. But could a real quaterback have made the difference.. Certainly.

Transfer students get priority after the freshman.

I don't think this is true. I believe all incoming students are put at the same level, freshman or not. The exception is graduate students.
Incoming students usually get the option for a half season package to spread tickets out for the newcomers. It's a lottery as well so you may not get any. They should send out emails sometime in the summer I believe. This may have changed but that's the way it was a couple years ago.
I'd take it, but i think we're better than last year. There's only one way to improve on last year's season.
Generally I'm happy to go 10-2 with a bowl win, but with the talent we have this year it's definitely 14-0 or bust for me.
All high hopes aside, if he's even an average quarterback we should be better than we were last year.

That being said I do think he has the confidence and ability to be great, based on the little I've seen.
Nice post.

Not sure why posters on here think we needed a top 5 class to be competitive. We only needed to add some depth which is exactly what we did. Next year will be a different story, however.
