How to watch the game without cable
Posted by RonSwanson on 11/2/15 at 9:42 pm
Is there a way to watch the game Saturday if you don't have any cable? Either ordering it online or through any particular TV app?

At least we know Blakeney will be adequately used by the coaching staff. :rotflmao:

... but they are trying to change the culture down there and I can't wait to be a part of that."
I really hope Tiger fans, especially the younger ones, embrace what Johnny Jones is doing witht the basketball program. In my mind, there is no reason LSU has to solely be a football school. Will it always reign supreme? Probably.
But there is no reason to think that we can't be like a Florida or Ohio State who enjoy sustained success and fan support for their basketball program as well.
Pack the P-Mac and the Dale Brown era was a little before my time, but I sure do hope to see the resurrection of it under Coach Jones.
We could be looking back at the Simmons and Blakeney commitments as program changing moments.

What to do in Nashville?

Coming in the night before the game and only staying one night. What's the best area of town to check out and where are the rest of the Tiger fans gonna be?

Does miles crush the confidence of the qb? Mett was the only good one we've had in a while and miles didn't get his hands on him early. Making them scared to play and having no confidence in them?

That was a kid that just ran out and played football. Now Miles has beaten fear into his head and he'll never be the same.
This is a thread in and of itself. This psychosocial dynamic should be evaluated. Same thing happened to Jordan Jefferson as a freshman. Future looked bright. Then he bscame a scared to death qb

Not sure if it counts, but recently bought and re-watch every boy meets world and it's still as good as ever.
Oh, and Homeward Bound 1 and 2 still goes so hard. Even though the love between delilah and chance was a bit forced in the second. Oh well.

Yep, but that's why you tee it up.
I agree. Honestly 7-5 with a 3-5 conference record seems the most likely.

Yeah there is another side to that coin.
1. Scrape by Florida with piss poor offense.
2-6. Lose by sizable margins to teams on the rise.
Detrimental season is possible if not probable.
Just wanted to present that side.
Honestly, I have no idea.

Coming off an injury? Probably not much.
This will inevitably lead to him being labeled a bust.
Which will inevitably lead to the sentiment the staff is poor at talent evaluation.
Which will inevitably lead to poor player development.
Which will inevitably lead to we suck, fire everyone.

That's what I'm saying. Developing into a dominant defensive tackle still takes time. People have been so ready to write these guys off because they don't come in and dominate from day one.
I'll take his performance as a redshirt freshman any day as a glimmer of hope for the future.

This defense should return to for with that lineup in the future. If it doesn't, Chaves would seriously have to be examined for his effectiveness as excuses would be no more.

Absolutely.
Apply the situation personally. Has experience plus knowledge plus repetition in a chosen endeavor ever made you more effective at said endeavor?
Raw talent and potential must still be cultivated.
Not to mention the mindset the players from State have to stop taking crap from everyone else.

DL will be a strength in the years to come. I think the expectations for some of these younger D-linemen are unrealistic.
Defensive tackle has traditionally been a position where it takes a few years to develop into a star. Dorsey, Nevis, etc.
It's only been recently that tackles are being called busts because they aren't dominating like Dorsey or Nevis did when they were juniors.

The pre-incestual scene between Meryl Streep and Liev Schrieber in the Manchurian Candidate.
I've never been more uncomfortable watching a scene in my entire life. Give me creeps just replaying it over in my head.

I'm not sure if you've ever heard Larry Bird's theory on this
No, but it absolutely makes sense and is exactly what you are seeing in the SEC West right now.
The top half of the West standings, right now, are all filled with coaches who have something to prove and are in the process of climbing the top.
Like Mack Brown said it's harder to stay at the top than to get there.

a) If Les needed one for this season he should have come away from the State game on fire. He didn't. Instead, we were treated to a replay. Gettting his butt kicked by Mullen had zero effect.
Trust me, I get this. Honestly, I think Miles' stubborness to stay the course resulted from his thinking that the Miss. State game was an anolamy and not an indictment of his overall coaching philosophy.
Same thing with the past two seasons. Especially considering how close we were to getting back to championship contention if Yeldon doesn't take that screen pass to the endzone.
Being really close to the top but not quite there doesn't make you step back and examine yourself as much as a catastrophic season does.
Maybe, just maybe, the loss to Auburn will open his eyes to the folly of staying the course that has got him to this point. But I don't have a lot of confidence in that.
