re: Lafayette Voting - Brach Myers vs Jesse Regan
Posted by Signature on 2/4/25 at 4:29 am
First, I personally know both candidates and consider both friends. I know each of their supporters demographics and let me tell you there is a significant difference. Not good or bad, but different. I can absolutely say that most, if not all, of my liberal leaning friends are in the Regan camp. Regan clearly has a new money (maybe millennial) following. Brach is “boring” and has the Lafayette brass behind him. He has existing relationships and is chasing what any southern republican would ask for.
However, there has been serious evidence, especially this particular text message being circulated, that one individual’s campaign is playing muddy politics. Regan, and his people, have stooped to a level of politics I cant understand or agree with.
Brach is who he says he is. Sure, his funding comes from Lafayette’s elite, but also simply look up his family. It’s not difficult. Hard working, hard nosed family. Brach doesn’t need to advance himself with politics. He’s already given back 10 fold what Jesse has with zero political intention. He has been saying for weeks that Jesse is going low and muddy. He refused to follow. If you’re a republican, you should have no problem yanking the lever for Brach. Regan has given more reasons than one for me not to cast a vote for him this election. My opinion alone and not to be attacking of others beliefs.

And there were transfer portal commits (5 star included) that hadn’t been announced yet. Our roster would have been absolutely stacked.

Y’all think we can just hire anyone with sanctions hanging over our head
Politely, you don’t understand anything about how basketball sanctions work in modern day. To be fair, most LSU fans do not either.

Meh
Woodward is lazy. Going to prioritize those Title IX sports.
ETA: we could have done worse, but there were better mid major names available.

For those of us in NOLA who need electricity tomorrow for work. Should we be re-locating north west tonight? Thanks for the feedback. New to NOLA and sounds like this storm is expected to be weak.

Chase is basically a contact information screen. Useless.

Our fan base is a cesspool. Chicken, formal request for a mute button. I would enjoy being able to visit this site more often.
ETA: This is a very poor outing. I’m also frustrated, but actively trying to run off the best coach on campus is mind numbing.
