You said LSU didn't have good dline players

They don't aside from Kyle Williams.

quote:

Then you tried to criticize those players

I said they weren't good or sucked which they do.

quote:

large number of good players from LSU

Really I saw that? I saw a bunch of back-ups and mediocre players.

quote:

you're trying to switch gears by bringing up bama

I brought up Bama because you said that almost everyone on LSU defense will go pro someday like it could only happen at LSU. I just that Bama will do the same thing like most teams that play in the Championship game

quote:

except that you're losing the argument

How so you can't name 1 great LSU Dline man besides Kyle Williams which I named BTW. Wait's for Marcus Spears and Tyson Jackson being called great
:rotflmao:.

quote:

about 10 out of 50 of the names on that list are dlinemen

There is not 50 LSU players and most of those lineman are back-ups or medicore players. Your not Dline U.

quote:

All of the current starters will be drafted

Good for LSU. I would hope that a top defense gets its players drafted.

quote:

Way to try to switch arguments. Yes, Bama's very good and has a lot of pro talent, too. But that's not the point here. The point is that LSU puts out as much talent as anyone. And many of them are solid contributors in the NFL. Many of these guys are great players.

What argument am I trying to change? I was talking about Dline U which your not. You guys were like we(it's not we it's LSU) puts out tons of NFL players. I agreed with you and whoever else brought this up.
quote:

50+ players in the NFL. If Donnie Jones can hang on as a punter for a few more years until Wing has a chance to get drafted, LSU may even have two starting punters in the league and that's a position with low turnover. Deal with it.

More like 40 maybe in the upper 30's. LINK

Good for Wing maybe he will have a better career than most of the NFL players LSU has put out so far. Shouldn't be to hard.
quote:

did I mention that probably every starter on the dline this past year is likely going to go pro?

Just like Bama

quote:

probably every defensive back who started this year will probably play in the NFL too.

Like Bama

quote:

simply because it doesn't do justice to how many good players they put out overall.

Good players like Buster Davis I know :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Did you know that every almost every team that plays in a National Champ game has a bunch of future pro players? I know your shocked. You probably LSU was capable of doing that.
quote:

I will repeat it again... players who play at LSU get a lot of national exposure and have better odds of being drafted than at almost any other school. No matter how much this irritates you, the fact remains.

Again where did I say that LSU did not put out pro players? I said they were not Dline U.

quote:

I guess you have your own definition of "sucked"

What do you call Mike Clayton and Buster Davis? underachievers?

Bama is still in it.

I thought you guys were full.
quote:

too bad for USC. Part of their problem is that LSU-- while being DLine U-- and putting so many linemen in the pros was also laying claim to Wide Receiver U., putting out the likes of Michael Clayton, Dwayne Bowe and Buster Davis in the first round, and also Early Doucet and D. Byrd, and Brandon Lafell and in fairly early rounds. Also Devery Henderson and probably a couple more. Rueben Randle had a chance to be a first rounder if he stayed, but should still go in the fairly early rounds.

Of course now LSU is also putting out safeties (Laron Landry -- #6 pick I think, Chad Jones, Taylor off the top of my head) and cornerbacks (Patrick Peterson-- #5 pick, Claiborne (soon), Chevis Jackson, Chris Hawkins for the Titans, Corey Webster for the Giants, Randall Gay who had some good years for the Pats, etc, etc, etc) into the pros year after year.

I guess LSU's success at putting players in the league at so many positions is probably the biggest reason not to just call them DLine U or any other specific position. Players who play here all have a lot of good exposure and better than average opportunities to go to the next level.

Clearly you're a bitter little fan from other school.

All of them sucked except Bowe and Henderson. LeFell and Early have a chance will see. No your not WR U either. Again putting out Crappy Lineman does not make you DlineU. Safety Taylor who? I would expect LSU to put out NFL players. Bama,USC,FSU,USCe,Miami,Texas,Ohio State and countless other big schools should be putting out NFL players. Yes I am so bitter about LSU putting out NFL players no other school has done that. :rotflmao:

I got to stop putting "you guys" your not LSU, your just a fan.

re: Les Miles to the Colts?

Posted by Onslaught on 1/18/12 at 11:26 pm
I wonder who he will pick with the 1st pick?

Jordan Jefferson future Starting QB for the Indianapolis Colts.

I really hope the Colts hire Miles. Good news for my Titans.

you should really be more concerned about not raping little boys in the shower room than football. As it is, Penn State football (as overrated as it was) will cease to exist. I had a feeling that Joe Pa knew very well what Sandusky did and did nothing.

Say it with me, "We are...

Okay and that has what to do with LSU putting out crappy D-lineman? IDC about Joe Pa.
quote:

The point is, regardless of "impact," lsu's putting a large number of players on the d-line into the league--all of which are getting paid--and that's really the bottom line--why are you having such a hard time getting this?

USC puts out a lot of WRs and no one calls it WRU because most them suck. I doubt you guys are putting out the most D-lineman.
So what player is Saban kicking off his commitment list for Howard? or should I say which player has change of heart and decides to go elsewhere?
quote:

Onslaught STFU!!!!We get the DL players into NFL,then they get position coaches that fit them into that teams scheme.Who the hell From Penn State has done anything in the NFL the last few years? What about the guy who's name escapes me that was drafted number one.He was a defensive end ,totaly sucked,

Calm down little guy. I think your talking about Courtney Brown and he had to retire early do to his knees. That was like 12 years ago.

Like I said name the impact defense of lineman. Kyle Williams and who?

I will name a Penn St. LB making a impact Sean Lee. Now your turn.
quote:

Jarvis Green was another, btw.

I would argue that LSU has as many DL playing in the league, making plays, as PSU has LB's doing sam

Go head but your wrong. List impact LSU lineman.

Kyle Williams and?
quote:

You're hated because you're fricking rednecks.

This is true BTW
quote:

The only part I have a big problem with is the no remorse or apology at all. Almost like he never even committed to us much less cost us a very good OL prospect due to making sure he had room. Would it be too much to ask for the kid to say "I know I put the LSU coaches in a tuff spot. I am very sorry but my family comes first." You know something to that extent. I mean he literally never even mentioned LSU. Like it was all a bad dream.

Did Les ever apologize to Miller?

the only reason

Everyone knows you get a way better education at ND.

2011 Alabama was the first team to lead the NCAA in all major defensive stats since 1986, and had the lowest PPG average on D since 1988. That's a fact. Spin it however it you want, it is what it is. All 12 wins were by 16+.

You guys faced no one besides Arkansas that played offense. Georgia Southern was the 2nd best offense you guys played. Bray and Hunter were both out for the Tennessee game.

John Brantley lit you guys for a quarter or so.

When Jordan Jefferson is the 2nd or 3rd best QB you guys face it's not as great as the stats make it seem.
