I put mine in the corner and tie to quadrants to the fence, the third tie down is a trashcan filled with water as an anchor.

Her actions before that situation were just as flagrant but LSU fans easily looked past them. Often you could see her "show extra emotion" to her teammates.

Anyone notice the Arky coaches looking at each other confused/hopeless with no idea what to do when they called the TO with 35 secs left?

She just told her team "I can't do it by myself I need help". She had no problem leaving the other 4 to run the court and playing defense the second half...

That fish along with a few others were caught in the Mississippi River and transplanted. I had friend who lived in that subdivision, and we put those in there one night in February 2007 when the river was high very high. I love seeing these stories pop up every couple of years but it's been a while since the last. At the time the biggest was around 40 lbs.

Not sure if this is better or worse than a random shooting. Apparently people are now bringing backpacks full of drugs to the gas station to sell.
This is a daily occurrence on Sherwood south of I-12. The Dealer even comes in 1-2 times a week to fill his "runners" cars up as they sit at multiple pumps. He then will go to the picnic table area and sell to the usual street walkers. This all happens in the middle of the day usually around the lunch hour.

Cointmont runs again in 2019 against Murphy Painter (former law enforcement). When allegations of serious sexual misconduct and a coverup by Painter while a police officer, Painter drops out and Cointmont wins in an epic landslide, but a majority of the council are loyal to the Donaldsonville/developer mafia.
Lawler and Orgeron end up elected as council members. The council members mobilize to oppose the Parish President in any way possible. They even attempted to change the home rule charter to eliminate the position of a Parish President and replace him with a Parish Manager whom the council would appoint. They did the same thing with the East Ascension Drainage board in an effort to reduce the Parish President’s power.
Why doesn't Cointmont just get his guys to setup the council members with secret recordings? It's an effective method that is very often overlooked by the general public.

Im off of Bluff also. Glad they cleared the trees by the lines recently but we were out of power 14 days for Gustav. May be a long month of September.

People are also missing the absurdity that if you can do a TV interview you probably don’t need to be in the hospital anymore.
This particular person was more then thrilled to participate in the interview I can promise you that. While I respect his convictions, he never misses an opportunity to step into the spotlight.

I use a RainBird water sprinkler mounted to the hose. You can get them in different patterns and adjust easily for the cost of $5.

The road, the locks and now the Aqua damn are all unnatural barriers that block the natural flow.
The road has been there over a century now per old topo maps from 1921. The people at risk for flooding in EBR built way after that.

Most folks in this thread dont realize that and think Iberville / ascension just tried to save "a couple dozen homes". The arguments being made by those ignorant to the entire situation are aplenty.

Why doesn't Louisiana just dam up the Mississippi River because it "no longer wants to handle the unmitigated flow?" It's not Louisiana's problem if that floods half of the United States, right?

Basically, you cannot block the natural flow of water towards the Gulf of Mexico.
You don't realize the levee system installed around the lower Mississippi river does exactly this???
Memphis residents should be pissed at those who decided to build in Morgan City. Swamp creatures!!!!

The other is that they installed a temporary barrier to flood their uphill neighbors.
This isn't true. The dam was installed because the lake is already at full capacity and they want to be able to control the levels. Without the dam the road runs a risk of washing out and all control lost. Chinhooks and Black hawks flying super-sack sand bags for a week like in 2016.
They plan to being pumping the water out Monday, if today's weather doesn't change that plan. This "Dam" (Alligator Bayou Rd) has been in place for nearly 100 years....

According to historical maps Alligator Bayou road has been in place ,"blocking the natural basin" with many homes since at least 1921.

Didn't they install giant culverts under that spot after 2016?
No, they don't have any "giant" culverts, and what little they have can't do much hence the installation of the dam on the roadway. The lake itself has been full for over a month. It has served it's purpose, and is now being controlled to protect those down stream. This includes folks who did not build within the water shed and also some industrial facilities. Remember in 2016 when Honeywell lost an acid tank due to high water? A big part of that was allowing Manchac to erode alligator bayou road and run uncontrolled.

Clint works behind the scenes with the same thieves that those who came before him. This is political theatre and nothing more. See Lawler as an example.

Spanish Lake has been full for three weeks. Geismar may be in a bind for a few weeks until they can pump all the water back out.
