It would have been a good argument by Lacy's defense that the vehicle that turned off the road was an "intervening cause" of the death of the man. In law, the "defense" of "intervening cause" refers to events that occur after the initial act that may have affected the outcome, and that would (potentially) break the "chain of causation" between the defendant's actions and the victim's death. If an intervening cause is deemed foreseeable, it won't absolve the defendant of liability; but an unforeseeable intervening cause likely does relieve them of responsibility. In Lacy's case, it would be tough to prove that Lacy could reasonably foresee that (1) passing a car -- even at high speeds, could cause the driver of the passed car to decide to suddenly turn off the road, and that it would (2) then cause the trailing vehicle -- who was admittedly driving too close behind the turning vehicle, to turn into oncoming traffic and strike the vehicle that had as its' passenger the person who died.

Great idea. Disrupt the #1 determinant of in-state tuition and thus demand for the University, to free up funds for the University so the budget can meet the forecasted demand with TOPS in place. Brilliant. Can tell how much of a thinker you are.
You did not read the article that I linked. Most of the people receiving TOPS money are well-off, and don't need the assistance - That means that they should be paying for their own tuition in the first place (which is how it was before.) They will still go to LSU, and that way the State is no longer paying for it. This, deep-thinker, reduces the the overall outlay that Louisiana's budget has been paying for.

Read the article. At the very least, the program should be modified so that the people who do need it are the primary beneficiaries.
What I mean by, "don't need it", is that most of the beneficiaries are wealthy. See the article, which refers to a study of the program.

Eliminating TOPS, which mostly benefits people who don't need it, would be a great start to cutting the total budget for Louisiana: LINK

If the Crystal Ball were accurate, LSU would only have like 10 commits.

I have to say, there are quite a number of pricks on this board, who just lie in wait to pounce on anything. Grow up.

If you consider him down, then why would a field goal be good? The ball would be dead, right!
Good point, StrangeBrew.

Thanks, Lou the Jew from LSU (you haters are assholes). Okay, did not know that, nor did a number of Gator fans.

Kragthorpe clearly threw with one knee down: LINK to lsusports.net Kragthorpe to Dominque
Why was the play not considered over at that point?

re: Spinoff from MSB; What's been the coldest game in Tiger Stadium?
Posted by sgbenne on 8/20/15 at 2:31 pm to BayouDayGull
Absolutely, the Utah Game. It was about 45 degrees, rainy, and the wind was a steady 25 mph. The only redeeming thing was that I started the game watching from the South End Zone, but was able to migrate to the 50-yard line seats on the Home side pretty quickly. I was 15 years old, and wore lots of layers, so it was fine.

Except for the fact that Adams and Jefferson talked shite about each other. Oh, and this: Drunk History: Adams v. Jefferson
Missouri definitely deserves respect, they've earned it; trouble is, to most of the West division, we forget that they even exist unless we play them (Arky and MSU, and perhaps the SECCG)
I just got this in, and am getting 4 hours. [I provided a link, but it was removed because linking to a commercial site violates Tigerdroppings.com's policy]
Here's a very good deal on a Bluetooth speaker that I've have very good luck with (Oringinally $120, on Amazon for only $20): LINK
Well, the timing of Womack's tweet of "Roll Tide" right after the sanctions were announced makes reasonable people think that he set LSU up.
Note that LSU has scored the last 108 points versus their opponents. That's damn good no matter who the opponents are.
