re: “He Gets Us”?

Yes, the Lord gets us but we are fallen beings in need of the Savior, who is Jesus Christ.

A pastor put this together a couple of years ago after the Superbowl. I believe it is called "He saves us." Please watch. It is a minute long.

Also, it is the responsibility of every Christian to share the gospel - the good news - Of Jesus.

Happy Resurrection Day. And P.S. Everyone will meet Jesus, some before death as Savior, others after death in judgment.

Trump needs to go to war on McConnell, trash him and make him the pariah of Kentucky. It’s time for scorched earth against McConnell and his wife.

I agree that McConnell needs to go and will when his term ends. However, Kentucky has elected Democrat governors the last three elections and one is governor now.

Push McConnell out and you might end up with a Democrat.

Be cautious.

Samaritan's Purse is a great organization in all respects.

Donations are used for the purposes, if designated, for which they are given.

Samaritan's Purse has been doing this for many years and have a proven track record..
"People who are pro life..."

Curious what your world view is. Are you a Christ follower? Genesis 1:1 describes the Big Bang. The universe has a cause - God. Genesis 1:26, 27 states we are created in the image and likeness of God.

We are eternal beings who will have to give an account of our lives.

Where do you stand?

Put them on the list of revolving Louisiana schools that we play every year so that we play them 1x every 5-8 years. I'd rather watch LSU play Tulane than Southeastern or ULM or Grambling/Southern or McNeese.

The state schools need the money. Tulane does not. Also, Tulane left the SEC, and as far as I know, has never looked back at doing so.

They are wolves in sheep's clothing deflecting people away from the gospel. Jesus loves us enough to tell us the truth because He is the TRUTH!

Watch this one-minute video. Jesus gets us and saves us.

I hope this does not happen again.

Yes, I know this is the comment of another poster but he make a good point. It is murder. Humans are created in the Image of God and all we be held accountable for their lives. Jesus warned this includes murder in our hearts which is approving abortion is.

Thank you Lord for your forgiveness! A person need only sincerely ask.

On the election and George W. Bush

First of all, I am Christian and do not wish damnation on anyone, even in hyperbole. Scripture says to pray for those who despitefully use us. We should pray for our enemies’ salvation.

However. legitimate criticisms will be made. Do not forget:

Jimmy Carter gave away control of the Panama Canal and it is now run by the Chinese. He withdrew support for the Shah of Iran and thus allowed the Islamic Republic of Iran to arise.

Bill Clinton gave nuclear energy to North Korea, claiming it would not use it for nuclear weapons, and it is now threatening southeast Asia and even the U.S. He allowed the Red Chinese to steal American rocket technology by launching rockets in China and they now have ICBMs that can hit the US.

George W. Bush went into a cocoon the last two plus years of his presidency, not defending his policies, thus allowing the large majorities to push through Obama's agenda.

After 9/11, W. took out Saddam Hussein who was not involved in the attack. The Iraqis were enemies of Iran and had kept their aggression in check. Now Iraq is under Iranian control. Why did he not go after the perpetrators?

Who are W's close friends now? You can tell a lot about a person by his close associations now. So, one should not be surprised about his political endorsements.

Finally, Obama and Biden have undercut American sovereignty and economic independence, giving money and power to our avowed enemies.

Are you familiar with the Kalam argument>

1. Everything that has a beginning has an outside cause.

2. The universe had a beginning. Look at the Big Bang.

3. Therefore the universe has a cause - God. Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Suggest you read I don't have enough faith to be an Atheist by Frank Turek..

We cannot mathematically prove the existence of God but the overwhelming preponderance of evidence points not only to God but the Judeo-Christian God of the Bible.

On the election and Christianity

Posted by RoDee on 11/1/24 at 11:42 am
Election day nears. You may be happy or saddened by the results. You should vote because it is your duty as an American, and especially, as a Christian. Maybe you think it won’t matter, yet God called prophets in the Old Testament though the prophets knew the people usually would not listen. Obedience matters in spite of natural results.

I heard that calling oneself a capital D(emocrat), I(ndependent), or R(republican), but being a lowercase “christian”, is rebellion against God. Putting politics before Christ is idolatry and violates the First Commandment.

Thinking your candidate/political party is “the answer” is wrong. Elected officials are at best flawed instruments of God; often they oppose His plans. The Lord uses people to fulfil His purposes but He is the source of every good thing (James 1:17). Do not commit political idolatry.

“Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the LORD, our God.” (Psalm 20:7 NASB95)
“Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people.”
(Proverbs 14:34 NASB95)

“For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”” (Psalm 11:2-3 NASB95)

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!”
(Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB95)

Pray for Awakening! We are in a fight for the soul and destiny of this nation. Agendas now being pushed as “normal” was largely unthinkable twenty years ago. The Church is called to be salt and light. Pray for Revival for the United States, Canada, and Western Europe, which used to be Christian and are now largely apostate and secular. The Church is growing elsewhere throughout the world, even flourishing in persecution.

Stay involved politically but put Christ first as Lord by not hiding the light of Christ. Pray for the salvation of elected officials and bureaucrats. Like Esther, we have been called to Kingdom for this time. We should work for righteousness in government and society but we cannot legislate morality or salvation. Again, pray for Awakening!

“But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.” (1 Peter 3:15 NET)
