Thank God for an AD with the common sense to know that this rant board means nothing and actually runs his job like the business it truly is. People on here need to get a job and go to friggin work unloading containers to get the supply chain back in sync to help pay my social security retirement.
I think he's from Hornbeck, LA just north of Leesville

LSU vs Tulane at the old Sugar Bowl in November 1968. Tommy Allen (The Trigger from DeRidder) scored 3 TD's in his last regular season game at LSU. Tigers won 34-10 (I think).
In 1968 in old Tulane stadium. LSU beat Tulane 34-10...the "Trigger" from DeRidder scored 3 TDs that night. Last game of the season. Hard to believe he's gone now.

Basketball: Johnny Jones, John Rudd, Wayne Sims
No, you did the right thing. It will be returned to you, I promise. I was in Alabama one day headed home from a deer hunt, and threw the serpentine belt off my truck. I was decked out in LSU t-shirt and hat with the hood up...an Alabama fan stopped, took me to an auto parts store to get a new fan belt, and helped me install it. There are a few good gumps out there.
I work with Ford's mom at Ft Polk...he's gone after this year according to her. Personally can't see it simply based on this year's performance or playing time.
Haven't seared the board, but was just wondering if anyone had heard why Hilliard didn't play a down Saturday night???
I agree that Coach Miles is sending a message to all the RBs. That being said, I can well remember Bear Bryant and Alabama winning a lot of championships by keeping a fresh pair of legs in the game at all times. I'm just shocked that Miles can keep this many quality running backs available at LSU this consistently. Kudos to Miles for that.

I work with Michael Ford's Mom. She says that he is totally pumped up and can't wait until Aug 1 gets here. He texts her all the time, but mentioned after this date, texts will slow down considerably. Looking for a GREAT year!!! Geaux Tigers!

re: Much Respect for Jeff Long

Even though I totally agree with the final decision that Mr. Long came up with, there was one reporter that asked him a question after his press conference last night that he basically said he didn't agree with his take on...something to the effect that based on the way that BP left the Atlanta Falcons and came to Arkansas, should Jeff Long be surprised with the outcome. I will say, after living through the Saban years at LSU and the way he left for Miami and then Alabama, that Jeff Long SHOULD NOT have been surprised. Loyalty is a non-existent word in the English dictionary any longer. It's every man for himself, if it feels good, do it, I'm OK, You're OK. Until that attitude changes and money and power loose their appeal, just live with it.
I'm old enough to remember the game, but not all the excuses, but, this season is scaringly similar to the 1959 season (except this year LSU did beat Tennessee). LSU defeated #1 ranked (I think) Ole Miss 7-3 via a punt return that finalized the Heisman Trophy for Billy Cannon. Then, a rematch in the Sugar Bowl against Ole Miss netted LSU a 21-0 defeat. Why? Who knows.

The one thing I do know is that this year's LSU team is in my mind the best team that has ever been fielded in an LSU uniform. I think all the hype about distractions, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. have overshadowed the fact that this group of young men and their dedicated coaching staff have given us all as fans of this game something to be completely proud of. I salute Coach Miles and his staff and everyone associated with the current program. I am proud of you all and especially what Coach Miles stands for. I woke up this morning, got dressed, thankful I had a job to go to and thankful I had a home and family that slept inside out of the weather and had a good meal to enjoy as the day started. Come on folks, let's get our priorities right here.

Look out for LSU in 2012-13. Geaux Tigers.

PS: I haven't seen anything written about where R. Sheppard was last night. Didn't even see him on the side lines. Was he dressed out?

LSU=9 Bama=6 Looks like LSU won to me...call it what you want. BCSCG: LSU= 2 Bama=0...still an LSU win.
