Score a TD, hug a kid. Win a game, watch young men. -Richt

Perhaps it was Jerry Sandusky who should be credited with that quote??????

LSU will have one QB in a rematch against Alabama - Jefferson. I think LSU can win a rematch with Bama, on friendlier grounds even after risky injuries against Georgia (in a game that Alabama should play as justification to play LSU).

Good points - Alabama should have to play and beat Georgia in a SEC Wild-Card game (not LSU). LSU players should be allowed to rest until BCS game.
I think it's more about money and the SEC wants more by having a not-so-logical match-up between LSU and a two-loss Georgia team. The SEC doesn't care as long as the money piles up.

I'd find it reasonable for Bama to play Georgia to prove themselves worthy to play LSU again in BCS game.
Hey guys, I started this post for some honest, hopefully unbiased discussion about the validity of the SEC Title game and ways to make it valid - any opinions?

re: Okie St was the better team

OSU didn't play very good defense and they lacked a running game on offense with ISU (and with KSU). Iowa St had a running game last night especially on their last 25 yard OT drive into the end zone.

OSU's BCS game dreams are gone now - anyway, I didn't think it fair for any conference w/o a Title game should have a team playing in the BCS game.
I also have to wonder if a team sitting out the SEC Title game since they didn't win the West SEC, should be allowed into a BCS (rematch) game?
I agree that it's "worthless" as well (with potential risks to any teams with national title aspirations). Oklahoma, Texas and OSU coaches have have admitted that they prefer not to have a Big 12 Title game for it tends hamper any National Title hopes for the better team participating.
Assuming both LSU and Alabama finish their regular season play w/o another loss - shouldn't the SEC reconsider entry requirements into the SEC Title game. Should it be a Wild-Card game for Alabama to prove themselves worthy (against a two-loss Georgia team) before playing a BCS re-match against LSU for the National Title?

I see that having to play a SEC Title game puts the participants at risk of further team injuries while the most likely other BCS entrant is allowed to stay at home mending their regular season bruises (because they finished Second behind LSU in the West SEC).

What say the LSU and Bama fans?

I think that the countries best two teams, LSU and Bama, should rematch in the BCS game - if they both finish their regular seasons w/o further losses and only if Alabama plays and beats Georgia in the SEC Title Game. Yes, I feel that the reasoning for entry into the SEC Title Game should be changed this year with the best two teams in the SEC West.
Having lost to LSU already, Bama should play a wild card game (the Atlanta SEC Title Game) while LSU would sit at home mending their player injuries after a hard fought regular season - only fair as just compensation for finshing undefeated and having already beaten Bama!!!!
I think your point is valid and points out the futile exercise of even having a SEC Title game this year. If LSU finishes undefeated after Arkansas to only be obligated to play a two-loss Georgia while their most viable matchup in the BCS game will be Alabama - LSU will be at a disadvantage ultimately against Bama, for they can sit home, mending their regular season injuries while LSU risks further injury against Georgia. I think that Alabama should play against Georgia in the SEC Title Game if they finish regular season behind LSU to prove themselves worthy to play in the BCS Game against LSU (sort of like a Wild Card team for the BCS).
