Maybe it's just how nice we are that we ignore both the very few bandwagon FSU fans and to ignore the Alabama fans trying to hard to get our attention here in gator country.

I live in Jax and the town is overwhelmingly pro Gator! For FSU winning the title there are very few fans showing their colors. I see more people in orange and blue.
Go Gators!

LSU because they have great fans, great food, great traditions that I've enjoyed when we've played them away. Always a great game and tailgate experience with LSU at the Swamp as well.
A & M as honorable mention. The game in College Station was a fun experience and their fans very friendly.

Just a few recommendations:
For a change, Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale has great restaurants and a nice night life up in Broward County.
You can also park your car at one of the places on the water and take the water taxi from bar to bar on the Intercoastal in Fort Lauderdale.
Golf on Key Biscayne is much less expensive than Doral and has incredible views of the Bay.
Upscale shopping is abundant: Bal Harbor, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove. Malls: Aventura, Galleria.
Off the beaten path, John Pennycamp State Park on Key Largo. Great snorkeling or just a glass bottom boat tour of the reef. Park is awesome.
The Keys: The Lorelei in Islamarada is great with live music and great fish sandwiches (Grouper my personal fav.) Morada Bay pretty sandy beach and nice dining. Nothing like the Keys!

re: Official Notre Dame/Catholic Guilt Thread

I am catholic and no I never root for Notre Dame. Hate the school.
Our priest is a Boston College grad and roots for the Jesuits to beat them every year.
A gator parent but a Michigan State alum who can pass on a sentiment from up there from the msu/notre dame national championship game in the 60's that surely will apply after the game: Hail Mary full of grace, Notre Dame's in second place.

Wilson, grand river avenue, I was there when Woody Hayes cold cocked a fan after we beat them.
That said, the swamp and tailgating at Florida are amazing and much more electrifying.

Yes. And the fact that a lot of threads and posts from this morning disappeared. Not much traffic either.
re: There is SEC football then there is the SEC Rant

Lurked forever and still don't post much, but I find I can't get through the day without my sec rant fix. There are hysterical threads that I find myself laughing outloud.
Couldn't agree more that I find myself much more in the know. Love football and the rant feeds the addiction. Makes it much worse watching Verne and Gary though...

re: I wonder what the Miami Dolphin fans think of Saban?

Miami Dolphin fans really can't stand Nick "Satan". For reference, Joe Rose former Dolphin player has made this really clear about how he feels during his morning radio show. His story about how he was staying and emphatically so to the local press and the fan community and the way he left really left a bad taste in Miami.
I will add to that and will say that the feeling is the same for Michigan State fans as well. Remember he left them right before the Rose Bowl. Underscoring was the fact that the Spartans hadn't been to the Rose Bowl in years.
I met an LSU fan in Durango, Co rafting the Animas river. He came up to me and said we had something in Common. I forgot I was wearing my MSU hat and then noticed his LSU hat.
Definitely bad blood. And especially Dolphin fans don't care about he left for the money. It is strongly felt he screwed them by not taking Drew Brees. Just tune in a about a month to any local sports radio and you'll hear the name.
