100% correct. Also, the affair rumor started on The Bunker. The post was eventually zapped by the admins, but too late to squelch the rumor....
I would consider 1990 an upset. Stallings started the season as the new head coach going 0-3. Can you imagine a new head coach at any SEC powerhouse starting 0-3? Auburn had won four straight Iron Bowls and 6 out the last 8. Auburn was the best SEC team in the 80's so it definetley felt like ...
mid 2000's LSU-AUBURN is incredible. This dude was tough as nails
I thought Brandon Cox's career was over after that hit near the goal line. Dude was probably the toughest QB ever to play at AU....
So Tom Ritter loves Auburn? That's a good one. I think Nick Fairley would disagree...and Sammy Coates, Carl Lawson, Will Muschamp......
You might as well change the subject of this thread to "As NCAA Basketball Burns." With the apparel companies, AAU organizations, etc. all involved, the justice department may run through CBB like Sherman....

Bammers start ref conspiracy theory

Posted by ifr4 on 1/11/17 at 9:10 am
Well, the "ref's were against us" talking point has taken a turn. Some bammers have found a Mike Defee in Darlington, SC, who looks a little like the Texas Mike Defee, the "gun show" Big 12 referee that called Monday's game, and who happens to be a Clemson fan with a daughter in school at Clemson. ...
They changed the fair catch rule three or four years ago. Used to be that to signal fair catch, the returner had to raise his hand and give a "proper" signal. The new rule is "any" signal by the returner is considered a "proper" signal....
I actually believe the "Tigerette story" that SBB posted was what killed the show. Paul let a few callers get way out-of-line with that and I quit listening for awhile. But I'll agree with others that the WERC years were the best. Neal Vickers' laugh was as contagious as any I've ever heard. And ...

Screwed up - didn't know the original video linked was the Kick Six. Might should've checked that. :banghead: Here's the video with the original audio. Sounds like they're playing "Chariots of Fire" over the stadium PA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybwFajBs-Ok...

re: Should the rule be changed?

The purpose of the rule for eligible receivers is to prevent blatant picks of defenders covering receivers. There are rubs all the time but the rule is there to prevent picks. Moseley wasn't in pass coverage...matter of fact he had started pursuing Marshall when Prosch blocked him. By that time, ...
So you understand that while it may technically be true (fullback, leading guard) calling Auburn's offense power run doesn't seem quite right.
Auburn doesn't just run the zone read. They also run iso's, counters, toss sweeps, etc. They pull guards, have a FB or H-back as a lead b...
Gimmicky offense
Yeah, that iso play with the pulling guard and the FB leading the RB sure is gimmicky....
#1, yes. #3 and #4 in my top 10. #2, give me a break. I'll offer these for the top 5: 2. NC State over Phi Slamma Jamma in '83 3. Villanova over Georgetown in '85...
1. Bama 2013 2. LSU 2013 3. A&M 2013 4. Georgia 2013 5. Ole Miss 2013 6. Arkansas 2013 7. Mississippi State 2013 8. Tennessee 2013 Signed, The SEC Rant, Summer 2013
BWHAAAAA! Gus hasn't had his five worst losses, and Chizik had too many to rank in 2011 and 2012. But ...
The AU-LSU series is filled with bizarre moments. The interception game in 1994 was so unbelievable it left everyone with their jaws on the floor. I can't even begin to describe how utterly inept and awful the Auburn offense was that day. Curly Hallman could've easily taken 3-and-outs the entire ...
I read the linked article but I have not read the article that was in reference. It seems like Thayer Evans tried to be sneaky, mis-quoted, tried to manipulate the story or out right fabricated lies about what Pogi said to him in the interview.
Yep. He and his running buddy Pete T...
Let me guess...Pete Thamel is involved in the story as well, right? :snoozer:...
Also, to the dude who asked about the woman that talked about banging Pat Dye and Coach Bryant...PHYLIS FROM MULGA.
Actually, I believe that guy is thinking about "Mildred" from Tuscaloosa. Phylis is just a loud-mouthed bammer that Paul and Neal used to joke about having a fling w...

A wake will be held tomorrow on the concourse of Bryant-Denny stadium with "Legend" and "Jim from Tuscaloosa" officiating. Meanwhile, officials in Auburn will allow the trees at Toomer's Corner to be rolled from 6 - 7 PM tonight in celebration....
