re: Have you ever seen someone die?

that’s called the death rattle, and appropriately so
If this had not happened right in front of me, I never would give this advice: don’t call it the death rattle in front of the person dying. When someone did that, I was appalled, it was so thoughtless.
re: Does anyone if LSU Letterman jackets are for purchase? This site looks fake.

I agree about the color being a dead giveaway it is not an LSU letterman jacket. The link is silent about LSU, and the grammar made me laugh.
So yes, since it is definitely going to work on some intoxicated woman, buy it now!

re: Why shouldn’t LSU travel to a school like Nicholls??
Posted by casualobserver on 4/8/25 at 11:35 pm
I recall two road trips in Skip’s second season; McNeese, Lamar and USL, and then Northwestern State and Centenary. And we played at Tulane as well.

The Patriot on Prime.

My boomer dad is 81 and was an attorney. He always paid some for car and house stuff.
I really dislike this fixation on different generations, and then generalizations about each, it seems nonproductive. But your dad isn’t a boomer, I hate to tell you. Maybe that shows why we shouldn’t limit everybody.

Since I ran from the EBR sheriff's deputy who had a beeline on me, I’m guessing you weren’t so lucky.

but yeah he should feel bad, it was a routine play and he fricked up.
This is so wrong, the best thing he could do for himself and the team is to forgive himself and move on. Dwelling on past mistakes or failures will limit his opportunity at excellence.

Our generation stuck to their word, if it was all about NIL, he should never have committed .
I’m not sure which generation is yours but people have been going back on their word in every one of them. A non-LSU example, which is close to home, was Billy Cannon, Jr. and the New York Yankees in 1980, I believe.

Well, it’s a lifetime sport, most aren’t. Best thing is to bowl with people you like.

He did NOT turn down a football scholarship offer from ND to play baseball for LSU.
In 1985 Joey told me and some others that he had a football scholarship offer from Notre Dame. Bo Jackson was here with Auburn that weekend, which is what prompted the remark. I’m not going to say Joey lied, I just know what he told us.

George and Joe Atiyeh. Not sure Joe played football though. Both were wrestlers for LSU though. Joe got an Olympic silver medal in 1984.
I believe Joe was Syria’s first Silver medalist in the Olympics. Either way I heard Syria took care of Joe $$$

I can honestly say I’ve lived well over half a century having never owned, or even wanting to own, a pair of Jordans.
I certainly am relieved to learn you didn’t want to own a pair of Jordans while MJ was in elementary school, high school and college. That would have been terribly frustrating.

I’m guessing since SFP is an attorney, and all of the non-attorneys on here are trying to make legal arguments?

I was a Freshman at LSU in 1980. The first home game was a loss to Florida State. That was the only home loss that season. I grew up in Lafayette but we were very poor so I had n option to go to any games prior to being a student there. I had gone to plenty of USL games. Tiger Stadium was like being on another planet in comparison.
It was my first game as well.

Ah yes, the key is losing by as few runs as possible to improve a statistic that only exists in YOUR mind. Now I understand baseball…
