re: Nobody in Louisiana knows what public and private waters are? WTF

The law states that if a water body was navigable when Louisiana became a state it is public. There are problems with this… was it navigable in 1812 or was it too shallow etc. In my view if it is a natural bayou it is public eg Bayou Lacombe or Bumblebee bayou. Now any pond or canal would be private because the water bottoms are owned by someone because of this law or it was land before the canal was dug. Louisiana is unique do to all the marsh that has been lost due to subsidence and erosion which was land owned by someone and now they own the water bottom. No other state has this issue at least not at this scale.
I can guarantee these yo-yos who confronted Masson don’t understand any oth this. Also back in the day nobody gave a shite but with the duck leases becoming so prevalent and expensive it is now a big deal.

No…… buy a grinder and you are ready to go. Easy to debone but does take some time.
Most importantly you do NOT need to blend in pork or brisket to your ground meat. I have been doing straight ground venison and it tastes better and is healthier.

I was at the 1982 game at Alabama and the 2003 Georgia game, and a lot of other great ones too. But two games always stick out in my mind. The 1982 Florida State game is one I will always remember, the fog and the oranges flying everywhere and the arse kicking applied to FSU.
Was at both these games… yes was exciting when the Tiger killed the bear but that Florida State game was sooo much fun an a little surreal when the fog rolled in. We had sacks of oranges and pummeled everyone below.
Most do the hook set then hand it over, it’s easy for a rookie to miss fish and some days it might be one fish. On some days with plenty fish I am sure everyone gets in on the action.
Not sure if still the case but trout caught in lake pontchartrain and in the marsh would not have worms but trout caught on the outside in Breton and cocodrie would have worms. Seemed like fish caught in fresher waters were clean and those caught in saltier water had worms. Was a year of low rivers so maybe saltier pretty much in all basins.
I use Talica 12’s for snapper. I have a couple 20’s for light tuna but could be good for bottom fishing.
DONT BUY THE ULTERRA!

Ask a farmer… they will tell you the first freeze used to be in October in the south delta. The last time I remember being chilly during early bow season was around 1990..
