10 figures is a billion dollars. But 9 figures, $100,000,000, yes.

It's an interesting question why this is happening in college football but not so much the NFL (although this is all contractual, and there are some decent contractual entitlements in the NFL as well). Seems it's the usual inflation formula - too much money chasing too few candidates.
How does he still have eligibility? The Covid year and a redshirt?

No they didn't. There was an agreed method for determining national champion then, as there is today. LSU won it. Just because a human poll subsequently said it thought USC (which didn't participate in the NCG) was a better team, doesn't mean they shared the national championship.

Doesn't he have to sit out a year now? Don't you only get 1 free and immediate transfer (unless you've graduated), which he has used?
HB7.

He was invited to New York for the Heisman. Did any other D player get there?

Math isn't your strong suit. Including next year it would be 21 seasons. (2003 - 2023 both inclusive)
Well, ashes is certainly a good analogy! Let's hope we rise.

Ritz-Carlton.

Has great rooms, its walking distance from the Dome, and has a back door into the Quarter.
Since 2007 LSU has had 5 DB selected in the Top 6. All other schools have combined for five.

The Bear.

It's not legally possible under NCAA rules.

What would it take for CBK to schedule a lead-in game prior to FSU?

We are only allowed 12 games a year, and they are all fully committed. You can't just choose to play extra games. There is a special deal for teams playing Hawaii (as UCLA did last year), but otherwise no pre-season games are allowed.

The only alternative is scheduling a cupcake as your first game, and a bigger team as the 2nd game (as we did with Texas), but then you miss out on the big money that ESPN and others are paying for neutral-site season openers (like this FSU game).
Exactly. CEO knows where the bodies are buried, even if he buried a lot of them himself

Ben Simmons?

He isn't playing in the Olympics, but he is eligible for Australia, not USA.

12.5 Bama
12.12 Florida
12.19 OM

Torn ACL, torn MCL, other tissue damage in the knee. Minimum 9 months before he can play, possibly 12 months or more.

Assuming a normal season next year, he will certainly miss a lot of pre-season practice and perhaps the pre-season games. But he is a tough SOB, so he will likely work extremely hard to get back. Best case is, he could be ready for the start of next season, but lacking some practice. Worst case, he misses next season completely.

Exactly why did the play the game in tiger stadium? What was the reason for not only postponing it, but also flipping the site. I dont remember

The game was set for Gainsville, but there was a hurricane approaching. It was absolutely clear the game couldn't be played there, no matter exactly where the hurricane hit, because wherever it hit, first responders would need to focus on the hurricane and not on a football game in Gainsville. LSU (which knew a thing or two about hurricanes) earlier that week proposed moving the game to BR or a neutral site. Florida's AD wouldn't budge, insisting that the game could still be played there. Of course it couldn't, and in the end the game was cancelled.

Then FLA was told by the SEC that if the game wasn't re-scheduled and played they would be disqualified from contending for the SEC East. So now FLA (which had a chance of winning the East) desperately wanted to play the game another week when they had a bye. The only way that could happen was if we cancelled a cupcake game and played FLA that week, which we did, but on the condition that the game was played in BR. That was agreed on the basis that the next 2 games were in Gainsville.

The bottom line was, FLA desperately wanted to avoid playing LSU in BR on the weekend the game should have been played, and they got what they wanted, and we badly lost the PR war. It was FLA's stupidity and intransigence that led to what happened, but they managed to paint it that we were the bad guys.

It would have been better if we had told then to F... Off, we had given them the chance to play that game in the week that it should have been played and they had refused it, and just got on with out cupcake game. Unfortunately LSU thought it still had a chance to win the West, so it was also keen to play the game so it succumbed.

There were not 13 dropped passes

I didn't make those numbers up. They come from the official stats (targets minus catches).

There were 13 drops in this game. Imagine what Brennan's stats would have been like if even half of those had been caught...!

There were 13 drops on Saturday.

Gilbert 1, Kirklin 4, Boutte 1, Marshall 2, Jenkins 1, McMath 1, Palmer 1, Moore 2.

Think how Brennan's stats would have looked if even half of those had been caught.
