Pensacola has the Oriskany, which is a world class diving destination. I know people that do day-trips there from Baton Rouge, but that makes for a long day. You need to be an advanced diver to do the Oriskany, though, as the high point of the tower is at something like 75'. There are a number of other shallower wrecks that anybody can dive in the Gulf Shores/Pensacola area.

The oil rigs off the Louisiana coast are also supposed to be amazing, but I've never been. I'm also not sure how much quicker it is to drive to Fourchon or Venice from BR than it is to drive to Gulf Shores.

LSU wins the meltdown contest in a blowout.

I am not prepared mentally or emotionally to handle a loss in this game. It will wipe out the greatest season in our history, and render the Nov 5th game moot.
