Definitely brings back some bad memories when the winds started to kick up today. The county EMS seems to have stayed on top of evacuations this time around so hopefully everyone has been able to make it out of those areas safely.

As someone who lives in the area, most of the low hanging fruit is gone. You’re looking at $450+/sq ft for most half-way decent cabin properties. There are certainly still deals out there... just a lot tougher to find. Visitation is off the charts so that has certainly helped area rentals (and in turn valuations).

Genius Sports ($GENI) provides some of the data and technology on the backend of a number of betting platforms. From my limited understanding of them, they are responsible for the real-time data feeds that the platforms utilize (think ingame betting). They also have some sort of connection with the NFL. It's not a stock I'm personally interested in... I've lost my arse on every SPAC I've ever invested in :lol:

I’ve always had the understanding that they don’t want you to “get started” due to the potential for lien/title issues. The bank always wants to be the 1st in line and that gets complicated if there ends up being a lien thrown on the property due to payment or other dispute that occurred before their deed of trust is filed. But I’m not sure if there are differences from state to state.

Just got back from La Toc on Sunday. Stayed for our Honeymoon. We're both 25 and found that we were pretty much the youngest people there. After visiting the other resorts a couple of nights for dinner, it does seem that La Toc had a younger crowd then the other two resorts. St. Lucia is incredible and for the price, you can't beat what Sandals offers. Just my opinion.

I just bought a new Jeep today and financed it through a local credit union (TVA). I was offered 1.69%... My question is how can they even possibly make any money with such a low rate??? I understand their cost of capital is much lower than commercial banks... But damn!!!

With the CFPB just starting to get going, I would be worried with this industry being heavily scrutinized in the years to come. But who knows how long that will take.
