Mizzou by far for basketball. Missouri actually is a talent rich state when it comes to basketball. Just happens Mizzou has missed out on all of them. For example: Tyler and Ben Hansbrough, Otto Porter, Bradley Beal, David Lee, Jayson Tatum, and Michael Porter(although he just moved to Washington). These are just a few off the top of my head.

Umm a little colder.

Sorry my basketball team has a big game on the road this weekend, and I usually show some video to get them pumped. The puppies may do the trick!

Looking for a commercial

Posted by MissouriBengal on 12/14/16 at 10:06 pm
Does anyone remember, I think it was a Nike commercial, where it showed a high school football team on the bus driving to their game? I remember how awesome it was, but I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone find it? Thanks
If I have learned anything about this board it is now we definetly aren't getting Canada. As soon as it's posted on here, might as well forget it.
Don't want either one! I am all in for Oh Canada!

Hope it's awesome! I am driving down from Missouri, with some Mizzou fans to show them what real football is!

Guy is an amazing hire. I live in Cape Girardeau, where SEMO is located. I can tell you that Mizzou hired the most professional guy out there. He has not only won, but put guys in the league every single year. I know he may not be the big tier name, but Mizzou got a gem!

Mizzou's new coach

Hearing rumblings that Steve Bieser is Mizzou's new baseball coach.

Bieser would be an amazing hire. Tremendous coach, and recruiter. He is able to find the diamonds in the rough, and knows the game. Something about former catchers I like as managers.

Word around Cape is he is in Columbia as we speak. My mom, also teaches with his wife, and she has heard they may be filling her spot. Which probably means he isn't getting the job! Haha.

re: Coaches on the hot seat

I just find it hard to believe that he is on the hot seat with all the additions he made this spring to his coaching staff. I feel like only a losing season would throw him out, because then what would happen with this amazing recruiting staff?
I am from Southeast Missouri State, better known as SEMO. Mississippi St. will win, but they will have their hands full with SEMO's pitcher Lucchesi. He's going to be drafted early this year. Will be a fun first round match up with him, and Hudson going at it.
Thank you! We try our best!
Sorry, I was doing it on my phone and his email has his full name, Tim Carter Corbin. The Corbin part was cut off, and I am an idiot. Sorry about that, the man deserves better than that! Sorry coach Corbin
Hi, I am a high school coach in Missouri and last weekend a player of mine had an ATV accident. Layne, who is a freshmen lefty, was a very promising point guard and pitcher for our programs. After the wreck Layne had to have his 3 middle fingers removed on his left hand. All he has, of now, is his pinkie and thumb. As his coach all I could think about was how can I try and help him. So, myself and some other coaches reached out to his favorite team... The Vanderbilt baseball team.

I emailed Tim Carter Corbin, head coach at Vanderbilt, to see if he could give him some words of encouragement! Later that day, he emailed me back, and got Layne's information. I expected, being in the middle of conference play, a quick shout out and that's it. Well, coach not only contacted him with encouragement by text, but also wrote him a really encouraging letter.

I thought that was all he was going to get, and I was more than impressed. Then today at school I received a package. Coach Corbin sent Layne an ACTUAL jersey! Folks, if you could have seen his face when he opened the package... It was priceless.

Layne is a remarkable young man, but obviously is going through a rough time. Sports has been his life for so long, and right now it's in question what he can do in the future. But, this has definitely helped Layne keep his mind off of it, and also motivate him to move on.

I just wanted all of the SEC to know how awesome of a man Coach Corbin is, and hopefully Vanderbilt realizes how lucky they are to have him! Sorry for the long post, but God Bless!

re: Is Mike Anderson in trouble?

Not exactly. May have a chance if they hire the guy from University of Washington. The reason his brother is going there is him, so maybe bring him to Mizzou you have a chance.

It's just sad that Missouri has produced some of the top talent in the nation, and none of them even look at Mizzou. Here are just a few I can think of:
David Lee- Florida
Bradley Beal- Florida
Tyler Hansbrough- UNC
Ben Hansbrough- MS St./ND
Otto Porter- Georgetown
Jason Tatum- Duke
Michael Porter-unknown, but won't be Mizzou.

That's a huge sign that things are wrong with that program.

Better not give him another year, if you want to have a chance with Michael Porter to stay home!
I feel the other reason is he throws a hard ball. He can't seem to put touch on the ball for the short, and intermediate routes.
