Larry, did an Aggie frick your wife or something? That's like almost 20 pages of you having a slightly unhealthy obsession with bashing A&M's traditions.

Yes, some of our traditions are weird. But we are proud of the fact that we are not exactly the same as every other college in America. And I will put our passion and the decibel level of our stadium up against any SEC school. That's why we are happy to be in the SEC, where everyone is as crazy about football as we are...albeit in our own "unique" way.

Yeah, that was just a 5 minute google search...but, I told you this would be tough.

At first glance there are not a whole lot of hot chicks wearing A&M gear on google. On campus though is a different story.

Aggie Here

I just found your board, so I figured I would post something. I am a regular at texags.com, so y'all are welcome over there at any time. The Rivalries Board is always, um, "interesting".

First of all, we Aggies are happy to finally have this whole ordeal over with and be officially in the SEC. The amount of ridiculousness we have had to endure from the likes of Baylor is beyond comprehension. The Big 12 is to conferences what Jersey Shore is to television.

We are proud and honored to be the only school in the great State of Texas to be a member of the premier conference in college football. That's what it's all about to us...you've got to compete with the best to be the best.

We fully realize we are taking a big step up in competition. We are realistic in our expectations, and realize it will be a tough road in the beginning. But we believe we have the resources to compete for MNCs, and there is no better place to do it than the SEC.

I damn near pissed my pants laughing at the A&M press conference thread. We are used to that kind of crap, believe me. We know we are, um, "unique". We have strange traditions, goofy Corps dudes, bizarre yells, and male yell leaders (and no female cheerleaders). For some odd reason, lots of people like to Whoop every 30 seconds during a press conference. We get it. Most of our traditions can be traced back to A&M's origins as an all-male military institution. Thankfully, the all-male part is long gone, but the military roots still shine through. While the Corps of Cadets at A&M is an important part of the school, historically and currently, it always seems like they show the goofiest dork in the corps, complete with his military issue glasses (and his fat-arse girlfriend) squeezing his nuts (see my avatar) on tv. Most of us, however, have hair and hot girlfriends...just so you know.

One thing we also have, though, is passion. We have an absolutely fanatical fan base, much like other SEC schools. Our student section (known as the 12th Man) is the largest in the country. Kirk Herbstreit called it the best in college football.

We have suffered through a decade plus of mediocre to bad football. That coming after a decade plus of dominating college football in the state of Texas. We have been set back immeasurably by the hiring of Coach Fran (thanks, Bama) and are just now getting out of the funk he put us in. We are finally getting to where we should be, with top ten recruiting classes and increasing success on the field. We're not there yet, but most Aggies feel like we are headed in the right direction. Last Saturday's OSU Charlie Foxtrot not withstanding.

That's all I've got.

So anyway, bring forth the sheep f***ing jokes.

P.S. Since so many of you seem to think A&M women are ugly, the A&M Hottie thread is forthcoming.
