re: World's Oldest Profession

According to Google

quote:

The phrase "the world's oldest profession" gained prominence in the late 19th century, specifically associated with the practice of prostitution. While it's a widely used expression, its origin can be traced back to Rudyard Kipling's 1888 short story, "On the City Wall," according to Wikipedia. In the story, Kipling describes a character, Lalun, as a "member of the most ancient profession in the world." This phrase, while potentially referencing prostitution, was not explicitly used in that way in the original context.
The phrase quickly gained traction and became widely used in the early 20th century, especially in discussions about prostitution, particularly in the United States. It was often used to justify or downplay the practice, suggesting it was a natural and unavoidable part of human existence. The phrase has persisted, even though it's been debated whether prostitution is truly the oldest profession. Some argue that professions like agriculture, hunting, or herding likely existed before prostitution.
In essence, the phrase "the world's oldest profession" is a cultural shorthand for prostitution, rooted in Kipling's story but popularized through its use in debates about the practice.

Just tell them to put it on your room.
If you think that this case has anything to do with the "end" of qualified immunity, you don't understand qualified immunity.

Do they have to put it back the way they found it? Do they have to smooth out the ruts and plant grass back or anything?

Also: Are they obligated to pay damages? Is that even a thing in utility ROW?

It depends on what the agreement says.

Well the agreements are actually kind of mute.

Are you saying that the agreements don't address those issues (mute)? Or, are you saying that what the agreements might say about those issues don't matter (moot)? Because if the latter is what you mean, then you are are just wrong as it relates to the questions that you have asked. You asked what they "have" to do, not what their "blanket policy" says.

As with every legal question like this, the most important information that you can disclose is what state/jurisdiction you are in. It's going to vary from state to state and possibly between homes that reside in multiple taxing jurisdictions (if cities and parishes/counties/burroughs both collect property taxes on a home). Without that information no one can answer your question.

The amount of powder and/or liquid boil should initially be based on the amount of water that you are cooking with. It is the concentration of the boil in the water that matters. After your first batch, then replenish the water with boil based on how much crawfish is in each batch.

re: Title on small utility trailer.

If it is homemade, take it to the closest State Police Troop Headquarters and get it inspected. Then get a title issued.

If the trailer was properly transferred either the seller should have the title or should be able to get a title reasonably easily.

In my experience, the most common reason for not having a title is because someone ended up with their deceased relative's property and no one did a succession or checked on how to do the transfer without opening a sucession (which is pretty simple).

Another situation is purchasing a trailer from someone in a state like Texas that does/did not issue title on trailers and then couldn't get one from La. OMV because they didn't get a proper title when they purchased it (although they may have gotten something that looks just like a title certificate). That can be a PITA to fix and can also be expensive if the original seller isn't cooperating.

Another possibility is that the trailer is stolen or just doesn't belong to the person selling it to you. That is something I would be very concerned about.

Ask the person selling the trailer why they don't have title and see what they say.

As to worrying about pulling it around without title, I'd beconcerned about getting a citation every time I pulled it. It's probably worth getting title just for the peace of mind and not worring about a ticket.
The better measure would be the overall employment data and not just fast food jobs. It's probably just as bad, but it would be a better measure.

You got off easy. My 9th grad class also worked on B&S engines. For our test, we (in two man teams) were required to disassemble the engine completely (every thing that could be separated into separate parts had to be separated and laid out for inspection by the teacher) and then reassemble it - twice during a one hour class. If it cranked on the first pull both times, you got an A, twice a B and so on. If it didn't crank before the fifth pull, you failed the test.
