Rusty nail sounds like a good, close option for us. Also like that Wood Pizza patio idea...

We are staying in the FQ and will most likely hit up Ryan's or Manning's for the Blackhawks/Ducks game this weekend.

Thanks guys.
A bunch of us from Chicago will be in New Orleans this weekend for a bachelor party. We are eating early at Cochon Thursday night and we need a good sports bar to watch the Bulls/Cavs game afterwards. Maybe somewhere close to Cochon?

Any suggestions? TIA.

its a good time but the one in Amsterdam is the mother of all sensation whites

I could only imagine...
I never miss Lollapalooza, Perrys Stage is always solid. Kaskade closing out Perrys on Sunday 2 years ago will always be one of my favorite shows.

The SHM Last Tour was solid as well.

The one event that sticks out to me more than any other show is Sensation White. Saw the first ever Sensation White in the U.S. a year ago at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Epic. Here is the trailer for the one I went to last year. LINK

7th time since 2007 GameDay has been to Oregon. That’s two more times than the next closest site (LSU 5 times). #FallicaFacts

I went to a New Orleans style bar in Chi town when I was there in July and thought it sucked. The Local Option. Terrible food, rude staff, weird atmosphere. Had a nice beer selection though, but that can be found many places up there. Walked down the street to a bar on the corner and had a much better time.

Know exactly where it is, near Depaul in Lincoln Park. Never been but probably driven past it 300 times.

My buddy in Chicago says the 2 best pizza joints are Piece (for thin crust) and My Pie (for deep dish). Does he know what he's talking about?

Piece is in my neighborhood- solid for thin crust. Cool place too. They brew their own beer also.

My Pie is ok. I order takeout sandwiches from there all the time, never get pizza though.

There was also a Mexican place near downtown that was really good and absolutely crawling with babes .. don't recall the name though. Almost like a club atmosphere in there, but not that douchey.

Mercadito? If so, Love that place.

Tango Sur. BYOB, Argentine, great atomsphere. Get the El Filet.

Couple of Nola style bars near by too: Toon's and Blue Bayou. Toons has a crawfish boil that I go to every year. Best boil in Chicago IMO.

If you venture out of that area, I got more for you. Make sure you get some Deep Dish Pizza, either Lou Mals or Giordanos. Brunch in the Goldcoast at either Lux Bar or Tavern on Rush. Great steak/seafood places in Rivernorth. If you want sushi try Coast in Bucktown. Its byob.

Totally forgot about lunch on Friday. What should we do?

Saturday we were going to wake up, head to the Quarter, do Cafe Du Monde(i know they will think its cool) then day drink and figure out a plan for the game. Possibly Borgne.

I'm going to look into Atchafalay. Thanks for the heads up.

OB- Where you staying in Chicago. I got plenty of recommendations for you.

Someone mentioned something to me about Borgne in the Hyatt. Might have to check it out for the game.

Long time listener, first time poster. Got a few questions for you all...

I am doing a trip down to New Orleans October 10-13th with the GF and 3 other couples. We're all coming from Chicago. I will be the only one that has New Orleans ties (born there, went to Tulane, most my family currently lives uptown/Metairie area)- but for the most part, I'm a Chicago guy. I'm planning all the entertainment and Restaurants but wanted to get everyone on this board’s approval and suggestions.

Thursday: Everyone gets in late, so me and the GF are going to Upperline. Its close to where we are staying and one of my go to spots.

Friday: Reservation at August. Is this going to be too fancy/too expensive? Do we need to dress up? Not sure about this one...

Need a suggestion for a good spot for food/drinks and the LSU/UF game on Saturday.

Saturday Night: Reservation at Cochon. One of my favorite spots.

Sunday: Jazz Brunch at Mr. B's.

What’s everyone’s thoughts/suggestions? Am I missing anything? Thanks in advance.
Nothing says "Wedding Anniversary" like Cooter Browns.

I will be down in New Orleans for the Florida weekend. I need a good spot in the French Quarter? Anything?
I'm leading towards Murray, but I've been ridding Gore since week 1. It scares me to go away from what has worked all year long, especially in the Championship game.
I have been starting Alfred Morris and Frank Gore all year long with Murray on the sidelines with an injury, but now Murray is back and has a TD in each of his last 3 games.

Gore is on the road in Seattle and Murray plays the Saints in Dallas. I'm starting Morris but should I start Murray over Gore?

Last 3 games: Frank Gore
Carries: 23 Yards: 58 1 TD
Carries: 12 Yards: 63 1 TD
Carries: 21 Yards: 83 0 TD

Last 3 games: Demarco Murray
Carries: 23 Yards: 83 1 TD
Carries: 21 Yards: 53 1 TD
Carries: 14 Yards: 81 1 TD
