Ya I get it and understand it’s necessary. Still nice for PAC12
Another reported aspect of this deal I’m jealous of is that ALL home game kickoff times will be set before the season for all schools

of course it is. YTTV is a huge segment of people. days of cables and wiring are nearly done. i guess i could look into directv stream. don't know much about it.

And I am saying YTTV has decided that they do not want to carry local team RSNs. They have gotten out of all of them, except for 2 markets that they will exit as well soon.

Obviously Pels would love to be on it, but they can't because YTTV isn't doing it.

Thus, if that is something you want as part of your cable package, then yes you would need to look at one of the other options (directv stream/fuboTV).
I am curious how you'd prefer the pels provide their games.

Currently, you have options:
1. OTA for free with attenna anywhere in LA, MS, or AL

2. Pay 99 dollars per season to get every game streaming on any device in those 3 states on Pelicans+ (note: if you are a season ticket holder they emailed a coupon to get this for free)

3. Receive the game as part of your cable bundle on any of these providers: Cox, Charter, Mediacom, Fubo, DirecTV or DirecTV Stream, Uverse

They have pretty much covered every base. The only major one they haven't really is YoutubeTV, which is where I am guessing most complaints originate from.

However, that's not a Pelicans problem. YoutubeTVs business model does not carry local RSNs anymore. Nationally, they have 2 RSNs left: the Bay Area RSN and Philidelphia RSN. That's it.

YTV doesn't want them, and only has these 2 left because they are owned by NBC and they bundle it into their NBC carriage deal. NBC is looking to get rid of them, and once they do they will be gone from YTV

So if the issue is that you want it on YTV, well, that's not likely going to happen. And it is not a Pels issue.

The games are as accessible as ever now!

They also recently announced expanding the field size to 57, with 5 wildcards (up from 2).

And apparently, in addition to having 4 promotion spots noted above (2 from international series and 2 from their version of Q school), they are also planning to have at least 1 wild card spot reserved for tournament-to-tournament qualification, no details yet on how. My guess is from the international series.

I think their OWGR application will be approved.

Can’t pinpoint why but this NBC broadcast is wayyyy better than ESPN.

Combination of roundball rock, they actually showed the starting lineup intros, the national anthem and the transition from anthem to tip off. Made you feel like you were there in the building.

Also, Mike Tirico makes everything feel bigger.

I wish it was next week. Rattler can be solid backup but that’s his ceiling imo. Let’s see what Shough has.

I think it’ll be the bye week though unfortunately

Rattler is who he is. Not gonna lose you games. But can’t do anything to add to winning. His record shows it.

He completes short passes. Doesn’t turn ball over. Usually throws to first read.

He can’t score in red zone due to his inaccuracy in tight spaces and inability to make more than one read imo

Paul learning from the coaches he covers with a non-denial denial here. Even a little laugh at the end.

It’s been confirmed by multiple outlets including the one below.

It’s been confirmed independently by other reporters at: AL.com, On3, Front Office Sports (a major trade publication, specifically by Ryan Glasspiegel and Mike McCarthy)

It’s very obviously true and trying to be walked back.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence that since his interview with Outkick/senate announcement last week that he just so happened to not make all 3 of his normal ESPN hits that he’s done for a decade every Sunday morning on SC, Get Up on Monday Morning, etc.

Yep. Announcement said DirecTV, DTV Stream, and Uverse.

The media had coddled Rattler and what’s terrible about him is that he isn’t good but doesn’t make big mistakes. Basically, he does nothing to clearly lose you the game but he doesn’t do anything that contributes to winning either.

It’s super frustrating. The Kamara fumble for instance should be partially pinned on Rattler. It was a terrible through on short pass that was behind Alvin. Alvin had to try to make one handed grab, which he did, but gets hit and fumbles. AK would certainly say he has to hold onto it, but those kind of accuracy issues are staples of Rattler and why he’s limited.

I hope we at least see what we have in Shough sooner than later

While I don't disagree he may eventually end up a bigger call, he loves Kentucky and Lexington. It's why he left Ole Miss as a position coach to come back and coach here under Stoops, even when Stoops was feeling the heat then. Our issue is going to be Barnhart fricked us on Stoops' contract and unless he leaves to go elsewhere it'll be at least another season before we can get rid of him. And I imagine someone bigger may come calling before then.

He’s not going to Kentucky
