The officials are in charge of spot. Each stadium has 8 cameras like Hawkeye in tennis that immediately tells them if the spot is a first down or not relative to the first down marker. They don’t ever use “chains”...

Love no kicking point after, and instead going for 1, 2, or 3.
Tho I don’t think you will ever see teams go for 1 much, as it seems to me the extra space you get going for 2 is valuable ...

In the merged league they adopted the USFL kickoff. I’d guess next year they will change to the new NFL me assuming it works out this year and NFL keeps it ...

Ya last year, the XFL/USFL (pre merger to UFL) averaged about 700k viewers per game which is very solid.
With 31 of 43 games his year on either Fox or ABC I expect the number to go up. 10 will be on ESPN and 1 each on ESPN2/FS1.
So good distribution that should lead to good viewership ...

I think a big reason behind Fox now pushing this is due to Nielsen, the ratings measurement company, switching up how the measure in last 2 years to include more out of home measurement (ie bars and restaurants). This obvi...

Well, the 11am Fox Big Noon tv window is the most watched game of the week three years running now, averaging 6.7 million viewers a week. More viewers than Saturday night. So I guess people are watching it!
