Wasn't comey seen going into the nyt headquarters on Thursday?

He was at a charity event with his wife. She works with CASA and special needs children.
Yes, wrap it in foil. You can remove the foil and "brown it" for a few minutes on the grill when fully heated. You can heat it in the oven if you use the foil.
Completely clueless. The "Executive Orders" he has "issued" are nothing more than press releases and have NO authority. Read them if you can. He's dumb and dangerous to the country and the world. Time will bear that out.

The "Wall" is nothing more than a big joke to everyone. Always was.
Tough run just before half time....that'll make the highlight reel,,

It took three months to get Mike VI when it was much easier to get a tiger from an approved rescue.

January-February at the very earliest, and you won't know anything until the tiger is actually on campus.

I completely agree with this statement and it is for a very good reason. But leaks are a fact of life these days........

Any news on the new Mike VII?

Mike VI is really missed and I hope that we can secure a live tiger soon. It's important to LSU and the other tigers in the world due to the excellent care Mike receives from the LSU Vet School. Quite a lot was learned about cancer treatment in tigers and humans during Mike VI's unfortunate illness. We are very fortunate to have such a positive situation and have such a magnificant animal on campus. I'm not very concerned about PETA and their "protests."

And, as always, thank you to Dr Baker and his staff for the care they gave to Mike VI. Hopefully, you will find LSU their Mike VII.

Doubt it. You, along with the rest of the "insiders" know absolutely nothing. LSU never was serious about Herman or Fisher and both probably knew that. Orgeron was Alleva's plan from day one and the rest was a smokescreen.

According to the TD "insiders" (cough, cough) Herman called Alleva at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning to let him know he was talking with Texas and that's when Alleva told him "no, we have our man". 7:00 a.m. message goes out that we are announcing our new HC at noon. Probably never know what happened but if that is true then Alleva is pathetic. Personally, I don't give it any credence.

To the question, Herman didn't sign because there was never a serious negotiation with him. Alleva said as much in his presser. If Alleva was serious about Herman there would have been details ironed out way before this.

Also, to believe that Orgeron won the job by his Friday night interview is laughable and sad.

You are so wrong. Chicken was totally correct. Herman wanted Texas and his agent pushed the LSU news to get Texas to act on Strong and that is all that matters. They deserve each other.
quote:

Everyone is mad at the complete lack of planning and effort which Alleva typically put into the so called "search". He put on a con man sh*t show and then just flat gave up. That is not what he is paid for, but that how he has always been. The disgrace should never have been hired in the first place.

You know exactly NOTHING about the search and planning......you are just bitching without any knowledge...A few years and maturing a big bunch should correct this......

Herman is still young and about to meet his first major Waterloo. Let's see if he can pick himself up afterwards and learn from it.

Truer words were never spoken.....the vultures at Texas are just breathing for a while but then.....

I was not impressed with Herman at all. His interviews and record of losses leave a lot to be desired, but good luck to him at Texas.....he's the hot item of the day.....glad we passed in favor a mature coach with the experience to do the job....binders are no joke....you have to have a plan in writing in this world if you are a leader.

Smart's change was a known event. Should be obvious.

You are forgetting the fact that Herman and his agent PLAYED LSU and Alleva. Alleva etal said that 10-12 coaches were evaluted. Unless you have some "inside" info on that aspect of the search, then we have to go on what we have about Herman and Coach O. When you get to the end of the deal, when the other side pulls a stunt like Herman's agent did Thursday, things change quickly. Obviously, Coach O had the inside track.

Herman got the money from Texas, but he also got the problems that are considerable from the meddling boosters. Many people think that they can overcome those kinds of problems. It seldom happens that way.
quote:

Assuming there was a verbal agreement in place and mutual interest in making a deal, why wait to sign the contract? Why did Alleva not try to lock Herman up before the conclusion of the UT/TCU game?

eta: I get that Houston played on Friday, but that wouldn't have prevented a contract from being signed, would it?

You mean other than:

- it doesn't fit the facts of the situation,
- it would be a HUGE conflict of interest for Herman in which case we shouldn't want to have anything to do with him
- just for starters.

and clearly you have no idea what business discussions and negotiations are about. And ethics.

Young, uninformed, immature fools.

Grown the hell up.

Glad to have you!! I know that you will be a great coach for our Tigahs!!!
"We're" not missing anything about Coach O....you are....

You are young and not very experienced and don't just know any better...

Geaux Coach O.!!!!!!!!
....Just not smart....that's your problem....

re: Mike VI has passed away

Mike VI was so much more than a tiger in a fabulous habitat. Social media made him so visable but what made Mike VI so different was his personality. He was the show and whether he knew it or not, he made the show every day for so many adoring fans.

I'll quit crying sometime soon, but this is very painful for so many.

The most important thing to remember is that Mike had the very best medical care he could possibly have had. Dr. David Baker said that he would not let Mike suffer and if you saw his statement today, that point was front and center for him. Putting such a beautiful creature as Mike down had to have been a crushing blow for Dr. Baker and his caretakers because they are so dedicated to Mike and his well being. My deepest thanks and appreciation for their efforts for Mike. He did not suffer. And we really really miss him. The LSU family thanks you.

(Can I ask if yall have thoughts on how they got close enough to him to do what they had to do today?? I so hope that he wasn't in pain. And I so hope that someone was by some slim chance able to hold his paw. )

I'm still crying, but I am sure that Dr Baker had all of these concerns covered as he is an excellent x 2 vet and caretaker. He has done a great job and you can be sure that his heart was broken today with what he had to do. It has to be something that he will carry with him for long time. I thank him for his courage.
