That was the summer of my freshman year of high school and my dad and I spent like $150 to get the entire Euro on PPV. That Greek team sucked arse, parked the bus and countered to win 1-0. At least Leicester played real soccer.

If they sucked arse, what did the other 15 teams suck?

Defense wins championships. You do what you need to do to win. They needed to play stellar defense to win and that's what they did.

I always enjoy all the hate dumped on the Pirate Ship.

Did you cry along with Ronaldo after the final?

We wouldn't be worse and that's a fact.

The funny thing is you actually believe that.

The fact no ref has ever been fired for performance besides her.

The NFL cuts officials loose frequently. Go 3-4 years without earning a playoff assignment you're done, whether through firing, non-renewal of your contract etc.
quote:

you may want to check with the nfl

Position

Offensive backfield, right side of the formation, 15 yards deep and behind the normal Tight End position

General Responsibilities

Wears the white cap, known as the crew chief and leader of the officiating crew
Oversees everything related to the officials and maintains the pace of the game
Verbally and visually communicates all fouls
Counts the offensive players on the field
Determines first downs or if a measurement is necessary

What am I supposed to be checking?

Each crew has a referee and six other officials, there is no "head ref."

Try again.
quote:

I am not gonna play this game with your goofy arse. The dude was the head ref in a game that had the most egregious non call in nfl history. Then the next year was the head ref in the superbowl.

Apparently you don't understand the difference between an assignment and a promotion.

There is no such thing as a "head ref," but I digress. It wasn't his call, but everyone seems to want to make it his since it's his name they know. The guys who were responsible for the call didn't get a post-season assignment. The guy who was not responsible for the call got assigned a Super Bowl the following season. I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make, but you do you.

She was a patsy used to deliver Chiefs to the Super Bowl

In that case, it would be pretty dumb to fire her, wouldn't it?

That's nice. I'll try again, what did he get promoted to?

Oh and you're aware that was not even remotely his call right?
quote:

NFL officiating is a joke. Remember when officiating got bad and they brought in the replacements? The replacements were even worse. Had fans begging to bring back the same shitty officials as before. The NFL knows exactly what it's doing. This isn't incompetence anymore. It's deliberately fricking the game and nothing anyone can do about it.

The replacements were used because the NFL staff was locked out.

So, who are you gonna replace them with? Maybe the NFL could hold some tryouts for message board fanboys.

quote:

This dyke was fired because of something she did off the field. It definitely wasn't her in game performance that got her fired. She pissed off the wrong person.

So we know she's a dyke? Is there a link somewhere that tells us that it wasn't her performance?
quote:

She has a good case. All she has to do is point to the ref that fricked up the saints rams call getting promoted.

What "ref" is that and what did he get promoted to?
Well Charity Hospital's unofficial motto was "The life you save today may take yours tomorrow."
quote:

And why did they pull that ref from final 4 duty? he did nothing wrong

The article didn't say that he was pulled from the Final Four, it said that he wasn't given a Final Four assignment. Big difference.
It's amusing that one of her complaints was that her referee raised his voice to her and was dismissive.

The remarkable thing is that that apparently never happened previously in all the games she needed to work to get to the NFL.

I was glad to see what she said about the pony tail since it confirms what I thought when the first time Sarah Thomas ever did so was in the Super Bowl and has been doing so since.
quote:

They all should be fired.

Who you gonna replace them with?
quote:

He didnt win us any trophies

Do they not give out trophies for SEC championships?
quote:

Jersey sure, but please no more number retiring. I know I'm the only one who feels this way, but not a fan of constantly retiring numbers.

As has been stated countless times, L.S.U. does not retire numbers any longer, so you're good.

Like said I don’t know anything about ghetto… homeownership probably some like 90%+ in that area… Huey Long has nothing to do with it … LSU been there since 1870 I think

Completely agree. Not sure if all the older generation of people who used to be in these kitchens are gone, but the quality and flavor has gone down significantly.

If you're strictly talking about gyros - all they are doing is buying a cone and slapping it on the spit and there are only about 4-5 companies who supply them.

Not sure if it was you earlier that said he was going to commit suicide but they are certainly leaning into that heavy now. I think a lot of stuff with Robby right now is very out of character. He was literally the most sympathetic doctor that has ever existed in season one and for some reason he has flipped a switch and is just on edge all season. It's odd. Very different doctor from season one.

All season, has been 10 hours.

quote:

Yea I don't dislike her at all but she has been very checked out as a doctor this entire season. The disposition and then making a huge deal out of her sister having sex. Half the doctors can't focus on anything this season.

Ten hours, so checked out for less than one whole day.

Targeting should be an unsportsmanlike penalty. Period.

Why should it be unsportsmanlike? It's a personal foul.

No country with richer history in the world really.

Plenty of history in Asia Minor, but very little of it is actually Turkish.
How are only 5 Puerto Rican players born in the USA?
