She "struggled" to find luxury hotel in Naxos as it's more rustic.

Tale a look at the Nissaki Beach Hotel here.

Has anyone here tackled the monasteries of Meteora? Photography is enchanting.

Yes and it was spectacular. Make sure to dress appropriately.

Be flexible, they go on strike a lot. My hotel in Athens had a chalkboard next to the front desk, listing which group was on strike. One day it was the buses, another day it was the tran line, one day it was the taxis, we were only there 4 days.

If you click here you can keep track of all the strikes. Just use Chrome and then right click on the page and choose "translate to English."

There is also a bunch of info like holidays etc.

Officer showed amazing restraint. I would have had to beat that dudes arse for trying to kill me.

Should have cracked him in the mouth with his pistol.

The only way LSU should ever do it would be if it was agreed for the away trip to be in the dome and 50/50 split on that away revenue.

Negative. At least 75/25.

Same thing that's in it when we play any in state school.

He asked what was in in for Tulane, not for L.S.U.

LSU has a Trophy Room... just sayin

To be fair, they did have a Sugar Bowl trophy from 1954 in the video.
Tie, Eric Amdolsek and Eric Hill.

I'm kinda surprised nobody commented on my post...
I loved the Cubs broadcasts, but if you watched the Sox, Hawk would say "gas" on damn near every fastball. It got old after a couple innings

And that dumb "He gone" shite.
The best part was that you could enjoy both, at least when the Cubs were home.

Milo Hamilton was the Cubs voice before Harry was hired and the Cubs made a decision that would forever change the direction of the franchise in terms of popularity.

Not exactly. Jack Brickhouse was the Voice of the Cubs and Hamilton worked with him and thought that he would take over when Brickhouse retired, but Caray was discontented wit the White Sox and the Tribune company brought him in and then after the 1984 season Milo got whacked.

Harry Cary drunk announcing and the guest 7th inning stretch "Take me out to the Ballgame" singer was a big plus.

When Harry Caray was still around there wasn't a guest singer. Harry handled those duties.

Eh, no.

There was a population that moved into the Peloponnesian peninsula that were for lack of a better word, more middle eastern looking.

You didn’t see that same population movement in Athens or in the northern Greek mountains near Macedonia where I have ancestors. They’re tall and dirty blond

Looks like we have the same retards downvoting both of us.

Must be Bulgarians or somesuch.

Your misconception is common because of recency bias, but before the spread of Islam and the Ottoman Empire Greeks were fair-skinned Mediterraneans.

Still plenty of fair skin - both my grandparents could have passed for Germans.

Disgraceful casting. Not a single Greek to be found.

That's only an issue when there aren't enough blacks cast for something.

I'm waiting for an MLK movie starring Billy Zane or John Stamos.

No one is allowed to “play down”

quote:

Poorly chosen words by me. Not a district exemption but every school in the district, minus the 2 public schools, utilize the single-sex enrollment rules.

None of the Catholic League schools want to play down minus Shaw. They won a football state championship playing down so good for them. It’s the only sport that’s so lopsided right now. I’m surprised JT Curtis hasn’t been screaming from I-10.

The schools don't utilize the enrollment rule, they are required to abide by it. Big difference.

How do schools "play down"? Is that something new?

If you mean that Shaw chooses not to play up, De La Salle belongs in that conversation as well.
quote:

Right. No traditional Catholic League school meets 5A standards without the district exception.

It's not a "district exception." It's the LHSAA rule for single-sex schools.

If it's a "district exception," how is Catholic High in 5A?

Oh, and it's not an "exemption" either.

Why would any of the schools want this "exemption"?

If they were all 4A enrollment, they would be happy to play in 4A and you could put the old XI-AAAA back together, which would be glorious.
quote:

Insisting on Holy Cross, St Aug and Shaw playing up to appease the high and mighty Jesuit and Brother Martin is dumb.

How exactly are either of those schools in a position to dictate anything to the others?

We see how much influence they have with Shaw and DLS and as for the others, how precisely were they coerced into playing up?

Additionally, you do understand that they all compete in sports other than football, right?

Do high and mighty Jesuit and Brother Martin have any shot at winning the league in any of the other sports in which they all compete?
