I was in the same.position (still are some days) and 18 Birdies has really helped. Especially, let's me know my issues or which holes are my problem holes in my home course. Well worth the $79 annual fee for premium.

Lawn crew at Augusta National. Have a contact that is doing that after retiring from 30+ years in banking.
The benefits and way they are treated are unbelievable.

I bought the 201 set 4 months ago. Can't rave enough on them.
re: Fedex St Jude Memphis - any tips?

Aughter and her fiance live in Memphis and are members at the TPC. His advice is buy merch on Wednesday or Thursday. He said not a whole.lot of secrets to viewing the tourney. Avoid the sun as much as possible.
Coastal Fish Company is great, if reservations are available. If downtown, try The Green Beetle. Great pub food and staff/regulars. Tell them Brooke's dad recommended.
Also, if parking along the trolley route, make sure your vehicle is 100% in the parking lane. The trolley drivers are a pain in the arse.

Nashville courses

I'll be in Nashville the last week of July. Are there any decent courses that aren't private? Are there any private courses that accept members from other clubs?

So I was in a similar position. Gave the game up back in 2000. Started back three years ago to have something in common with my future SIL. Caught the bug, and decided to play often. I'm blessed with a club membership that my company takes care of.
I pulled the 30-year-old Ping Zing Black Dots out of the closet. After a year, I decided to purchase my woods first. The local pros suggested this, due top the techno advances above my old woods (Adams Fat Head Driver, etc.).
I went with the Ping G430SFT. I bought the driver, 3-wood, 7-wood, and 4H and could not be happier. Still struggle with the 3-wood in certain lyes but getting better.
This year, I decided to buy my irons. I've never owned any sets other than Pings, but decided to shop. I did my research, and a large part of the expense of these major brands goes towards sponsorship and endorsements. Wasn't interested in 30% of my purchase going to a golfer endorsement.
I purchased the Tacomo 201. These are a forged back which is a cross between the 101 Player Performance and the 301 Blades. I've used them twice on the course and several hours in a hitting bay. I was initially scared I should have stayed with the 101's but think I made a great choice.
The 201 have great feel, while still giving me some forgiveness. I'm not a long hitter but picked up a 1 to 2 club+ distance with the irons. Still figuring out distance. Delivered and ready to go for $700. After Hovat started showcasing, their supply chain dwindled. Thought they would be delivered in 3-weeks but took 8 weeks. I just ordered my additional wedges that were not part of the set. Highly recommend.
I used the savings to buy a five pack of lessons. Had an old guy at the club tell me, "at some point, it's about the Indian and not the bow and arrow"
My apologies if too long.

I ordered the 201s yesterday. Hope I don't regret not getting the 101TS
Hopefully, it doesn't go below 5% ever again. It was only lower than 5% due to the market manipulation by government and lax banking. IMO.
There is a great podcast, Missing in Alaska, about this event. Highly recommend.

So, Stanford for the overall cup? No clue what's it called now.
Curious, what year? I would guess around the time the government was cracking down on cigs advertising, and cig machines. Crazy that cigs use to be sold out of a machine to any age.

At least once a month and up to three times a month. Depends on my playing partners schedule.
I enjoy it, plus it's a 2:30 minute or better round. No music, no conversation, complete silence.

Are you playing?
We are playing Tobacco Road on Wednesday and Mid Pines on Friday.
Mid Pines does shotgun starts starting on Thursday through the weekend. Not sure how I'm going to like it.

VPN Set up
Posted by rdskipper on 8/29/22 at 3:24 pm
I would like to use some of the online gambling sportsbooks. What's the easiest way to set up a VPN or something similar to look like I'm in Tennessee, Louisiana, etc?
