just stop...you don't know what you're talking about.

This reeks of a slow-motion implosion.

To the contrary....all the pieces that were broken from the previous administration are now being put back together.

That's disappointing to hear, I've enjoyed both series.

exactly this for me as well.
yes it is, had it a couple weeks ago.
First of all.... I loved the ending. I also grew up on Karate Kid, started when it was in theaters.

Corny, yes, predictable, yes, but it was awesome.

I've purposely stayed away from watching Karate Kid I again over the last few years so that I could see where Cobra Kai ended. Now I can't wait to watch it again knowing the full arcs of the characters. It will be weird knowing that Johnny becomes my favorite character in the whole saga.

So many incorrect statements and half truths I don't even know where to start with this.

quote:

here were several items but the latest surge came from the Golden Gala Ladies, all of the Baton Rouge's most influential women (in their minds) and their being butthurt that Football Coach Andy Martin was demoted as the athletic director which was a sizeable cut in pay and a move from as an Administrator back to a teacher. The people that know Andy know he wanted to coach one more year because his son will be a senior next year, and he wanted to coach his son's last year. Andy was rightfully demoted from Athletic Director because he played two different kids from Liberty High School in consecutive years causing University to be removed from the football playoffs last year. Any coach knows a kid that plays across the street cannot play for you the next season. You have to do a Bonafide move into your area or move back to a home zone. This was neither. Andy handled the situation poorly as possible. He never admitted that he made a mistake. He blamed it on some paperwork which is crap because all the paperwork would have told him that the kids were not eligible to play. He sent the e-mail to the parents and then his sister-in-law who sells Amway (she also moved her daughter to Parkview because she could not play at University) copied and pasted it on social media to try and gain some sympathy for Andy which just infuriated everyone that knew the truth. Andy played two ineligible kids and got his team kicked out of the playoffs. University sued the LHSAA, lost the lawsuit, and then had to self-report 20 plus clerical errors and that they had played 7 ineligible athletes once the old athletic director did a self-audit. It is amazing that Andy still has a job. The current football parents minus the ones that are friends with Martin are furious that he didn't tell the team before they played Madison Prep that he had done the math and knew they had to beat Madison Prep and Port Allen to make the playoffs. He allowed Keylan Moses and two other players to sit out of the game as a precautionary move instead of playing them. Had University won both games - all of this crap would have gone away. Instead, no one from the school - the coach, the athletic director, a supervisor has taken ownership that they screwed up 20 plus pieces of LHSAA paperwork. Andy Martin is a nice guy but has underachieved at university. Andy has now been upset by Dunham, St Charles Catholic, and kicked out of the playoffs in consecutive years with a roster that has beaten Catholic High School and will be allowed to coach another year to finish with his son That doesn't matter as long as the queen od sparkles and the ladies of the Golden Gala have another great shindig.

These are laughable statements.

Multiple issues throughout the school that are directly tied to him. LSU sent a survey out to parents on the culture and state of the Lab School several weeks ago and I know he got blasted. I assumed then that they would be adding the survey results to the case against him. Probably took them until now to get their ducks in a row, but I'm glad they did. He's been a piece of shite and has left a mess everywhere he's been.

yes, but that's no longer the perception.

Shame on Liberty for holding on to the complaint until the very last day they could file it, that's a chicken shite move, but it's ultimately Uhigh's fault for not having the forms signed.

The administration, especially the athletic administration, owes everyone associated with the school an apology. The school's reputation has been teetering the last few years as it is and now it's completely smeared across the entire state due to athletics. The days of Uhigh being perceived as an exemplary academic school are gone and it's a direct result of the wants by some to be an athletic powerhouse.

The AD should relinquish his AD duties effective immediately. The wrongs in this situation ultimately fall on him, regardless of who was supposed to sign the forms. The school never got in trouble like this under the previous AD. I feel terrible for the players, especially the seniors, particularly the ones that have been there since kindergarten or elementary school. It's a very harsh punishment handed down to them for the mistakes of the administrators. It's just an extremely disappointing and embarrassing time for the Uhigh community, but hopefully this will serve as an opportunity to get the priorities of the school back in line.

My kid plays for Uhigh. We haven't heard anything from coaches or administration. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes or any of the facts or actual allegations. I'll reserve further comment of the situation until it all plays out. I will say that as a dad of a player that's been there since kindergarten, I'm not happy about any of it.

I mean...I did see a WHOLE LOT of trashy LSU fans walking all over campus. I'm not sure that any of them actually went into the game, but I was pretty embarrassed by a lot of what I saw walking around, especially on Highland Road a little south of the Union.
