re: Diesel Trucks

I drive mostly highway unloaded, occasionally pulling a 17-foot enclosed trailer. I'm mostly looking for improved MPG and want something that will last me 15 years.

Diesel Trucks

I am in the market for a new truck, and I believe that I want to go the diesel route.

What truck are you buying and why?

Beretta APX A1
Big fan of Nitto's Recon Grapplers
I have a little Keltec 22 that will shoot anything you feed it. It's a fun little gun to shoot cans.

My usual go-to is LT's, but we went to Tad's last night, and the crawfish looked pretty dang good.

I do the Salvation Army's Angel Tree. Just make sure to pay attention to this lists because some families are out there trying to scam the system.

I have one chambered in 308 paired with a Vortex 3-12x42 and it's absolutely my favorite hunting rifle. Very accurate. One of the better triggers I've ever had on a stock rifle.

Headed to Vegas later this week for a couple of days. Any places that are an absolute must-try?

My dad taught me how to play at Howell. I'd kill for a chance to play there one more time with the old man.
Give Holmes a call. I know they have or should be able to get something similar. It's not the same masonite, but it's a comparable replacement.

I'd get with an architect first and go from there.

I've had a few wranglers in the past and drive one currently.

1. 92 YJ - 4 banger with a manual. Drove it roughly 225k miles. I never had an issue. I'm positive it was the world's slowest vehicle though. It topped out around 55.

2. 10 JK 2 Door - 3.8L with an auto. This thing was a tank. I purchased it with 82K miles and drove it until it hit 167K. Other than regular maintenance, I didn't have to do a thing to it. I loved it, but the wife hated it, so there's that.

3. 20L 4 Door - 2.0L with an auto. I'm currently driving this one, and it's AMAZING. Very comfortable and goes everywhere that I need it to.

When you look at one, look underneath it for scrap marks. A lot of guys build them up to look like off-road monsters, but the only time their tires will hit dirt is when they accidentally drive off the driveway. Some guys ride them hard and put them up wet; take your time looking and listening to it, and you'll be fine.

Yes

In Louisiana there are no laws protecting the employee in this situation.
